Best-reviewed solar companies
2,091 of the installers we hold, across 43 states, carry enough recent reviews to be ranked on their record. They are ordered by the one number a listing buries: the share of Google reviewers who gave one or two stars, with the least convincing records held back rather than flattered.
What “best reviewed” means here, exactly
It means the smallest share of one and two star reviews that the evidence will support, and nothing else. It is not a judgement of workmanship, price or safety: nobody here has inspected an installation, verified a licence or spoken to a customer, and no company paid to appear. Among the companies whose breakdown Google publishes, the middle one sits at 2%, so a company well under that has a record most of the trade does not.
Order is set by the upper end of the 95% confidence interval on that share, not the raw percentage. Nought out of twenty-five is a weaker record than one out of six hundred, and sorting on the bare figure would put it first. Both numbers are printed on every row, so you can check the order rather than take it.

Installers in each state clearing all four gates. Each state page ranks the top 25 of them. States with fewer than five are not ranked — a list of whoever happened to qualify reads as a ranking and is not one.
Looking for one town?
A town page carries the same ranking for its own companies wherever at least five of them qualify, alongside the full list of everyone we hold there. Start from installers by state and pick the place, or search for it by name.
Nothing is hidden from these lists
A company missing from a ranking is missing because it is not an installation business, or Google publishes no star breakdown for it, or it has too few reviews to rank, or nobody has left it a review in two years — never because we removed it. Every company we hold appears on its town and state listing with whatever record it has, good or bad. Nobody pays to be here and nobody can pay to move.
