Its one and two star share is 1 point below the typical installer in California. Across California, 788 of the 1,529 installers whose breakdown Google has published carry a higher share than this one.

The percentages are Google’s own arithmetic over every review it holds, not a sample we assembled. Separately we hold 19 review texts for this company, quoted below. Google publishes review ages rather than dates, so every date here is approximate.

Great service. Showed up quickly, addressed my issues. I'll use Badass for sure next time I have a solar related issue.

For six months, the solar panels on my house sat idle, quietly failing to do the one thing they were installed to do. It's easy to lose track of a problem like that when it doesn't announce itself loudly — until the electric bill shows up and the numbers don't add up. One call to Tracy at BadAss Energy fixed what six months of not paying attention hadn't. He found the problem right away: a faulty SolarEdge inverter, the kind of issue that's easy to miss and costly to leave alone. Instead of just swapping it out, he got the repair covered under warranty and installed a newer, more efficient mod

I found Tracy to be very honest and knowledgeable. He gave a very thorough Analysis to a situation other people in the industry just scatch their head. I highly recommend Tracy for any issue in the AC industry.

Topics Google derives from the review text, with how often each appears. A frequent topic is not a good one: “price” turns up in praise and in complaints alike.

What the company says about itself

Taken from its own website. We have not checked any of it, and a sentence on a website is not evidence.

  • Warranty

“equipment we needed - still under warranty, so no charge for the equipment. He…”

Its website also mentions licence number, but not in a sentence we can quote cleanly.

Elsewhere

  • It is also reviewed on the Better Business Bureau and Yelp. Worth reading before you sign anything: those are a different crowd, and the complaints that reach the Better Business Bureau rarely reach Google.
  • It posts on X, LinkedIn, Instagram, YouTube and Facebook. A page that stopped posting years ago tells you something a listing will not.

Ordered by how much we can tell you about each, which is not an order of quality. We do not know which of these is better and would not say if we did.

What we don't know

  • The date above is the newest review we hold, which is not necessarily the newest that exists — we hold a large share of Google's reviews, not all of them.
  • Google publishes no street address for this company, so we cannot say which town it is based in. San Dimas is the area its listing was returned for, not an address we hold.
  • We do not verify licences, insurance or bonding. Nothing here has been checked against a state licensing board.
  • We cannot tell you what an installation costs, and we hold nothing about the equipment they fit.
