Holsen Solar

Waiting for over six months for an invoice of an estimate to include the price of the hardware I can acquire on my own without them. Then I was ghosted when I requested it. Shady to say the least.

The install team was great, minus the busted mounts & zip-ties that ended up on the lawn. I'm proof that Ben shouldn't overpromise on the Xcel interconnect as that took 3 freakin' months too long that made me completely miss out on '25 peak generation. They also completely ghosted me countless many times.

Holsen Solar was incredible to work with! They installed my Level 2 EV home charger within 24 hours of contacting them — fast, professional, and super knowledgeable. If you’re in Fargo, Moorhead, or the surrounding Red River Valley area and need a home EV or PHEV charging station installed, I highly recommend Holsen Solar. They made the whole process seamless and delivered excellent quality workmanship. Perfect choice for anyone looking for EV charger installation, solar energy services, or electric vehicle charging solutions in the area.

This company did a great job of installing our solar system. However, we've been waiting over 2 months for our monitor system to be working online again. We've been told someone will be here and they never come.

Ben and his team have a depth of experiences from residential to rural farms that are well worth getting their team's input. We had an outstanding experience with them and deeply appreciate his lengths of efforts to fulfill our goals!

Topics Google derives from the review text, with how often each appears. A frequent topic is not a good one: “price” turns up in praise and in complaints alike.

Taken from its own website. We have not checked any of it, and a sentence on a website is not evidence.

• Warranty

“— we design, permit, install, and warranty every project ourselves. No…”

• Years in business

“of what going solar could save you over 25 years. We refine this with a detailed,…”

Its website also mentions free estimate, established, bonded, insured, licensed and licence number, but not in a sentence we can quote cleanly.

• It is also reviewed on the Better Business Bureau. Worth reading before you sign anything: those are a different crowd, and the complaints that reach the Better Business Bureau rarely reach Google.
• It posts on YouTube, Instagram and Facebook. A page that stopped posting years ago tells you something a listing will not.

Google’s own “people also viewed” set, in Google’s order. It is Google’s comparison, not ours.

The ones without a link have no page here, either because Google does not categorise them as solar businesses or because we could not match the name to a listing with confidence.

Ordered by how much we can tell you about each, which is not an order of quality. We do not know which of these is better and would not say if we did.

• —The date above is the newest review we hold, which is not necessarily the newest that exists — we hold a large share of Google's reviews, not all of them.
• —We do not verify licences, insurance or bonding. Nothing here has been checked against a state licensing board.
• —We cannot tell you what an installation costs, and we hold nothing about the equipment they fit.
