Its one and two star share is 8 points above the typical installer in the Modesto area. Across California, 424 of the 1,529 installers whose breakdown Google has published carry a higher share than this one.

The percentages are Google’s own arithmetic over every review it holds, not a sample we assembled. Separately we hold 22 review texts for this company, quoted below. Google publishes review ages rather than dates, so every date here is approximate.

Every company we hold in the Modesto area, on one axis

0% rated 1–2★15%

Each mark is one company we hold in the Modesto area whose Google breakdown has been read, placed by its share of one and two star reviews. Radius Energy Inc is the red one. The amber line is the middle of that set, which includes suppliers and maintenance businesses as well as installers.

It was great the 1st year. Problems with equipment failure for months, slow to respond, troubleshooting & tech support is poor. Had inverter replaced after complaining for months, now my PGE NEM is $800, when I usually get a check. Tried to resolve it with the owner, no response to text messages. Today the monitoring system says not generating any power again.... huge hassle.

6 months and they still aren't helping me. Not that they can't, THEY WON'T. My system reports that it's producing 60% of the planned power and they won't help me figure out what the problem is. I have asked for 3 separate solutions to problems with the inverters they sold me and they say no to all of them. It took them 4 months to install their approved plan.... Basically, they got their money and they don't care anymore. Typical crappy solar company. I had really hoped they were different. I have the receipts: texts and emails going back a year. Feel free to contact me for further explanation

Super helpful before the sale, but can't get any help after the sale. Would Not recommend

Moved to a new larger home that came with a much larger electric bill. Contacted Radius regarding solar and could not have been happier with the results. Electric bill a 1/5 of what it would been and my payback window is 5 years max. Radius has been awesome with follow up the few times I even needed to contact them. Most of those contacts were me understanding the system but they were always ready reply no matter how silly my question. I would recommend them in a heart beat!!!

This company does an awesome job. They were able to help me out by repairing my existing solar system, which was improperly installed by another company that is no longer in business. I would highly recommend them.

I made an appointment to talk about adding a backup battery to my house. After they did the analysis of my energy usesage, turns out the battery would not help with my trueup bill. Adding a few solar panels would help, but because our daughter is moving out and our energy usage will decrease even that might not be necessary. If I decide I need additional solar in the future, this is the company for me! It's not often that a company will look out for what's best for you, as apposed the making a sale. Great experience!

What the company says about itself

Taken from its own website. We have not checked any of it, and a sentence on a website is not evidence.

Its website also mentions free estimate and licence number, but not in a sentence we can quote cleanly.

    Elsewhere

    • Google also lists this company under windows.
    • It is also reviewed on the Better Business Bureau. Worth reading before you sign anything: those are a different crowd, and the complaints that reach the Better Business Bureau rarely reach Google.
    • It posts on Instagram and Facebook. A page that stopped posting years ago tells you something a listing will not.

    Who Google shows alongside them

Google’s own “people also viewed” set, in Google’s order. It is Google’s comparison, not ours.

The ones without a link have no page here, either because Google does not categorise them as solar businesses or because we could not match the name to a listing with confidence.

Ordered by how much we can tell you about each, which is not an order of quality. We do not know which of these is better and would not say if we did.

    What we don't know

    • The date above is the newest review we hold, which is not necessarily the newest that exists — we hold a large share of Google's reviews, not all of them.
    • We do not verify licences, insurance or bonding. Nothing here has been checked against a state licensing board.
    • We cannot tell you what an installation costs, and we hold nothing about the equipment they fit.
