Shine On Solar & Maintenance

Every company we hold in California whose Google breakdown has been read, grouped by their share of one and two star reviews. Shine On Solar & Maintenance is in the highlighted group.

I had a terrific 5 star experience with Shine on Solar. Iain was very professional, prompt and knowledgeable. He arrived well equipped to wash the 28 panels of my solar system, and 3 skylights. He also did some trouble shooting, and answered my questions about the system. I found his price reasonable and I arranged to have him wash the panels every 12 months.

Ian came out quickly to inspect, diagnose, and plan maintenance/protection for our new home. His report was thorough and easy to follow. Other companies moan about needing internet to get work done, Ian brings his satellite internet with him. We’re excited to work with him when we settle in!

Great service! Straightforward, clear, and competent. Iain replaced our faulty solar inverter and handled permitting for the job with clear communication and follow-through. Highly recommend!

Topics Google derives from the review text, with how often each appears. A frequent topic is not a good one: “price” turns up in praise and in complaints alike.

Taken from its own website. We have not checked any of it, and a sentence on a website is not evidence.

• Insured

“Licensed (CA C‑46 Solar Contractor ), insured, and operating with over a decade of…”

• Licensed

“and roofs, we clean it all. We're licensed to make repairs to your solar system…”

Its website also mentions warranty, free estimate and licence number, but not in a sentence we can quote cleanly.

• Google also lists this company under gutters, pressure washing, roofing and windows. A company that does both roofing and solar can handle the roof work a panel install often needs.
• It is also reviewed on Yelp. Worth reading before you sign anything: those are a different crowd, and the complaints that reach the Better Business Bureau rarely reach Google.
• It posts on Instagram and Facebook. A page that stopped posting years ago tells you something a listing will not.

Ordered by how much we can tell you about each, which is not an order of quality. We do not know which of these is better and would not say if we did.

• —The date above is the newest review we hold, which is not necessarily the newest that exists — we hold a large share of Google's reviews, not all of them.
• —Google publishes no street address for this company, so we cannot say which town it is based in. Rohnert Park is the area its listing was returned for, not an address we hold.
• —We do not verify licences, insurance or bonding. Nothing here has been checked against a state licensing board.
• —We cannot tell you what an installation costs, and we hold nothing about the equipment they fit.
