Solar Alternatives, Inc.

Each mark is one company we hold in Louisiana whose Google breakdown has been read, placed by its share of one and two star reviews. Solar Alternatives, Inc. is the red one. The amber line is the middle of that set, which includes suppliers and maintenance businesses as well as installers.

My neighbor recommended Solar Alternatives so I called them for a quote. They were honest about what size system I needed and didn’t try to upsell. The installation went smoothly and the crew even fixed a small issue with my old electrical panel at no extra charge. Great service and good people.

Sarah is very knowledgeable and easy to work with. We look forward to our install.

Great experience overall. Sarah, Stacy, Trevis, Antony (great installer), just to name a few. Got 28 400w solar panels with a FranklinWH aGate & aPower2 with generator integration. Antony and his coworker especially spent a lot of time figuring out the generator integration with my Cummins generator.

Topics Google derives from the review text, with how often each appears. A frequent topic is not a good one: “price” turns up in praise and in complaints alike.

Taken from its own website. We have not checked any of it, and a sentence on a website is not evidence.

• Years in business

“had solar alternatives install them over 10 years ago. I recently had trouble reading…”

• Licensed

“members include electrical engineers, licensed electricians, certified roofers, and…”

Its website also mentions warranty, free estimate and established, but not in a sentence we can quote cleanly.

• It is also reviewed on the Better Business Bureau. Worth reading before you sign anything: those are a different crowd, and the complaints that reach the Better Business Bureau rarely reach Google.
• It posts on LinkedIn, YouTube, Instagram, X and Facebook. A page that stopped posting years ago tells you something a listing will not.

Google’s own “people also viewed” set, in Google’s order. It is Google’s comparison, not ours.

The ones without a link have no page here, either because Google does not categorise them as solar businesses or because we could not match the name to a listing with confidence.

Ordered by how much we can tell you about each, which is not an order of quality. We do not know which of these is better and would not say if we did.

• —The date above is the newest review we hold, which is not necessarily the newest that exists — we hold a large share of Google's reviews, not all of them.
• —We do not verify licences, insurance or bonding. Nothing here has been checked against a state licensing board.
• —We cannot tell you what an installation costs, and we hold nothing about the equipment they fit.
