The percentages are Google’s own arithmetic over every review it holds, not a sample we assembled. Separately we hold 91 review texts for this company, quoted below. Google publishes review ages rather than dates, so every date here is approximate.
Every company we hold in the Perris area, on one axis
Each mark is one company we hold in the Perris area whose Google breakdown has been read, placed by its share of one and two star reviews. SolarMax Technology is the red one. The amber line is the middle of that set, which includes suppliers and maintenance businesses as well as installers.

Please do research before you make a big decision like installing solar panels. This company has salesman that put pressure on you to committ right away saying that offers are expiring soon and that you are loosing a good deal which is unprofessional, unethical and bad practice because once they get what they want they forget about leaving a good service and just move to the next. I have attempted to reach out to the contacts I had saved but no answer nor replies to attempts. One of the numbers says it's a whole other personal with another company name. Very frustrating situation and stressful

Would be zero stars if I could. Terrible communication. Have had a "pending" installation since middle of the summer. Several hard credit pulls, have to follow up on updates ourselves. No updates, no installation. Everything is apparently approved and ready. Was originally supposed to be installed in August, but we believe they forgot about us. Months later we still do not have an installation date. If it weren't for the tax credit we would have cancelled our order long ago, and since it's expiring we will be cancelling after the new year. Edit: Yes, the order is under my husband's name. My na

Bought solar about 6-7 years ago from this company. Everything went flawlessly. The sales rep was on point, was fast to answer questions, felt like I was their only customer. I'm pointing this out to contrast what it was like later on. Anyways, I got 28 panels at 130w. Generating about 3-4kwh per hour at it's peak. I later(about 1 year ago) decided to get a battery backup system (20 KWH) and asked about getting more solar panels. I was advised I could only get 3 more panels because any more and I would be forced into NEM3.0. I was grateful they knew all these little niches that SCE has with po

SolarMax installed our battery storage system (Tesla battery). We worked with Dan Cooley and he is just fantastic. Very helpful, describes everything in details and honest. Our installer, Ricky and team was excellent. Came on time, clean install, walked me thru app and just great experience. The finisher, David, was equally good, helped thru the city and HOA permit and inspections. All went well as expected. Great team to work with. I recommend SolarMax technologies for your solar needs.

I had an excellent experience working with Dan at SolarMax for my solar installation and Tesla Powerwall 3. Dan was my main point of contact throughout the entire process, and he made everything smooth and stress-free. He was extremely knowledgeable, responsive, and always available to answer my questions. He took the time to explain everything clearly and made sure I fully understood the system and what to expect. The installation team did a great job as well—everything was clean, organized, and completed on time. Dan stayed involved throughout and made sure everything was handled properly fr

We had a seamless installation of our panels over 11 years ago. Top notch and careful work. Power remains unchanged. One minor issue, caused by me, was courteously and rapidly rectified. This is one great company that stands by their work. We couldn’t be happier!!

Topics Google derives from the review text, with how often each appears. A frequent topic is not a good one: “price” turns up in praise and in complaints alike.
What the company says about itself
Taken from its own website. We have not checked any of it, and a sentence on a website is not evidence.
24/7 availability
“energy systems that support critical 24/7 data operations with solar, storage,…”
Established
“record Active in utility-scale EPC since 2014, with 400 MW completed or in…”
Its website also mentions financing, years in business and licence number, but not in a sentence we can quote cleanly.
Elsewhere
- It is also reviewed on Yelp. Worth reading before you sign anything: those are a different crowd, and the complaints that reach the Better Business Bureau rarely reach Google.
- It posts on LinkedIn, X, Instagram and Facebook. A page that stopped posting years ago tells you something a listing will not.

The ones without a link have no page here, either because Google does not categorise them as solar businesses or because we could not match the name to a listing with confidence.

Ordered by how much we can tell you about each, which is not an order of quality. We do not know which of these is better and would not say if we did.
What we don't know
- The date above is the newest review we hold, which is not necessarily the newest that exists — we hold a large share of Google's reviews, not all of them.
- We do not verify licences, insurance or bonding. Nothing here has been checked against a state licensing board.
- We cannot tell you what an installation costs, and we hold nothing about the equipment they fit.
