Its one and two star share is level with the typical installer in Pasadena. Across Texas, 399 of the 728 installers whose breakdown Google has published carry a higher share than this one.

The percentages are Google’s own arithmetic over every review it holds, not a sample we assembled. Separately we hold 20 review texts for this company, quoted below. Google publishes review ages rather than dates, so every date here is approximate.

Each mark is one company we hold in Pasadena whose Google breakdown has been read, placed by its share of one and two star reviews. Texas Solar Energy is the red one. The amber line is the middle of that set, which includes suppliers and maintenance businesses as well as installers.

What reviewers said

Ali came out and I was skeptical since I kept having random people come and inspect and tell me they would get my solar panels fixed and running. Ali kept me posted, came back 3 separate times and finally got the project completed. I was so happy with the whole process. He was so nice and got things done and explained every step.

Fixed the issues with my solar panels and now they are up and running.

OUTSTANDING EXCELLANT SERVICE!!! Very quick and very knowledgeable! I now have switched from my previous service to this company. Able to do quick troubleshooting and installing new and replacement parts was very efficient! Thank you TEXAS SOLAR.

Topics Google derives from the review text, with how often each appears. A frequent topic is not a good one: “price” turns up in praise and in complaints alike.

What the company says about itself

Taken from its own website. We have not checked any of it, and a sentence on a website is not evidence.

  • Warranty

“coming with a 25-year manufacturer warranty. Please consult with us to explore…”

Elsewhere

  • It is also reviewed on Yelp. Worth reading before you sign anything: those are a different crowd, and the complaints that reach the Better Business Bureau rarely reach Google.
  • It posts on LinkedIn and Facebook. A page that stopped posting years ago tells you something a listing will not.

Ordered by how much we can tell you about each, which is not an order of quality. We do not know which of these is better and would not say if we did.

What we don't know

  • The date above is the newest review we hold, which is not necessarily the newest that exists — we hold a large share of Google's reviews, not all of them.
  • Google publishes no street address for this company, so we cannot say which town it is based in. Pasadena is the area its listing was returned for, not an address we hold.
  • We do not verify licences, insurance or bonding. Nothing here has been checked against a state licensing board.
  • We cannot tell you what an installation costs, and we hold nothing about the equipment they fit.
