Universal Solar (AKA Universal Green Group) installed panels on our home in 2020. They didn't alert our electric company to the install and it was shut off for several months while Universal submitted the required paperwork. Fast forward several months and the inverter stopped working. Again it took Universal several months to resolve the problem. Move forward to 2025, after the hail storm that came through, Universal Solar has refused to respond to our requests for a detach and re-set. I have emailed them and attempted to file a claim with the Better Business Bureau, only to find that they ar

Update: still worthless. Why do I have over 40 panels on my house and a $350 electric bill this month on a 2300 sq. Ft. Home with 8 ft ceilings? They never help and just place the blame on me! I know people with no solar and way higher ceilings that have the same electric bill as me! Please explain this?! I hate the service that I get from these panels. They consistently go down and I consistently have $150 electric bills for a 2300 sqft, 2 story house. My neighbor has a 2 story and almost no electric bill I regret my decision to go with universal solar and would not recommend them to anyone!

My neighbor introduced me to Universal Solar System. Experience with the team was smooth. Installation crew finished the job in 8 to 10 hours. Universal Solar System also helped in getting additional solar credit from the grid provider. I am very pleased to receive a good deal for price per watt installation. Srikanth from Austin divisional was very helpful in providing information as well see through my project finish from start to end. Kudos to Srikanth.

Best in Solar Market. We did research for our residential solar and finally zeroed on Universal Solar. They are best in terms of Pricing & technology. We are glad that we choose Universal Solar. Topics Google derives from the review text, with how often each appears. A frequent topic is not a good one: “price” turns up in praise and in complaints alike.

Elsewhere

  • It posts on YouTube, Instagram and Facebook. A page that stopped posting years ago tells you something a listing will not.

The ones without a link have no page here, either because Google does not categorise them as solar businesses or because we could not match the name to a listing with confidence.

Ordered by how much we can tell you about each, which is not an order of quality. We do not know which of these is better and would not say if we did.

What we don't know

  • The date above is the newest review we hold, which is not necessarily the newest that exists — we hold a large share of Google's reviews, not all of them.
  • We found nothing on a website for this company that states a warranty, a licence or how long it has traded.
  • We do not verify licences, insurance or bonding. Nothing here has been checked against a state licensing board.
  • We cannot tell you what an installation costs, and we hold nothing about the equipment they fit.
