Absolutely terrible experience with 1st Energy Solar. I would strongly caution anyone considering using this company. Since having the solar panels installed, we have had nothing but problems. The installation caused significant damage to our roof, and we ended up having to pay out of pocket for repairs/replacement ourselves because the company was no help whatsoever. A solar company should not leave homeowners dealing with expensive roof issues after installation. To make matters worse, the panels no longer even work properly, and our electric bill is now HIGHER than it was before getting sol

Installation was fine and we've been happy with the panels for the past 4 years. HOWEVER - trying to reach anyone with in issue is impossible! They don't answer the phones and the online "case" submission constantly errors out. It's a shame because everything was fine until now. UPDATE 6/13/25: Need to fix the roof but this company doesn't do "residential" work anymore. We can't find anyone to remove the panels because other solar companies won't work on things they didn't install. We are screwed!
