Ameco has been a nightmare to work with for solar battery installation. Permits were received 5 months ago and they never scheduled installation. It took several calls to get them to start install 4 months after permits came in. An installer finally showed up at our house unexpectedly at 6:45 in the morning. Since then, they have failed inspection twice, took a month to address that one of the installed batteries didn't work, and set up the battery system to only partially back up the house. I'm still calling and waiting to hear when they will schedule another inspection and when they'll come

They did a good job with the installation, but their customer service really leaves something to be desired. I have had to hunt them down for every update, call every day for a week to talk to "the right person" to answer fundamental questions; it's exhausting. Not sure if the cost savings outweigh the headache. Update: it's been over 6 months since we had our solar panels installed and we're still not live with them. Trying to reach someone at Ameco who can deal with this problem is nearly impossible. Everyone passes the buck to someone else. At this point I can confidently say, it's not wort

Horrible service, signed a deal for $40k - solar panels + powerwall, and its the worst service. So far followed up 14 times via e-mails and phone calls all for the run around about the county and their times for planning review to approve and then they can pull permits. They say I need main panel upgrade, I approve for the extra money, I have a backyard project that is on hold with rocks everywhere as they have me waiting over 3 months - don't do business with this company choose another solar vendor better planning/permits/approval department to expedite the project. I think it keeps getting

Our experience with Ameco Solar LLC has been mixed. The sales process went very well — the salesperson was knowledgeable, explained exactly what we needed, and clearly described how the system should function. The design phase also went smoothly, though it lacked regular follow-up. However, once we moved into the installation stage, communication from Ameco dropped off significantly. We found ourselves constantly having to send emails and make phone calls just to get updates, many of which went unanswered. It turns out that Ameco outsourced the installation to another company and seemed to hav

Kevin was incredibly helpful throughout the entire process. He was always friendly, responsive, and quick to address every question or request I had. His excellent communication and willingness to accommodate my needs were major reasons I ultimately chose the company. The installation was completed smoothly and professionally, and I am very satisfied with both the system and the overall experience. Everything has been working well, and I truly appreciate the support Kevin and the installation team provided from start to finish. I would highly recommend Kevin and the team to anyone considering

Very good customer service. Walked me through solving a problem without needing a repairman. Tigran is great!

I’ve been shopping for a solar system for a few months now. My system just received permission to operate last month. I got my first after Solar electric bill. Super happy with the results

Topics Google derives from the review text, with how often each appears. A frequent topic is not a good one: “price” turns up in praise and in complaints alike.
What the company says about itself
Taken from its own website. We have not checked any of it, and a sentence on a website is not evidence.
Years in business
“energy solutions. For the past over 50 years we have been offering our customers…”
Its website also mentions warranty and established, but not in a sentence we can quote cleanly.
Elsewhere
- It is also reviewed on Trustpilot, Yelp and ConsumerAffairs. Worth reading before you sign anything: those are a different crowd, and the complaints that reach the Better Business Bureau rarely reach Google.
- It posts on Instagram, X, LinkedIn, Facebook and YouTube. A page that stopped posting years ago tells you something a listing will not.

The ones without a link have no page here, either because Google does not categorise them as solar businesses or because we could not match the name to a listing with confidence.

Ordered by how much we can tell you about each, which is not an order of quality. We do not know which of these is better and would not say if we did.
What we don't know
- The date above is the newest review we hold, which is not necessarily the newest that exists — we hold a large share of Google's reviews, not all of them.
- We do not verify licences, insurance or bonding. Nothing here has been checked against a state licensing board.
- We cannot tell you what an installation costs, and we hold nothing about the equipment they fit.
