Its one and two star share is 11 points below the typical installer in the Paso Robles area. Across California, 788 of the 1,529 installers whose breakdown Google has published carry a higher share than this one.

The percentages are Google’s own arithmetic over every review it holds, not a sample we assembled. Separately we hold 11 review texts for this company, quoted below. Google publishes review ages rather than dates, so every date here is approximate.

Every company we hold in the Paso Robles area, on one axis

0% rated 1–2★65%

Each mark is one company we hold in the Paso Robles area whose Google breakdown has been read, placed by its share of one and two star reviews. Bison Energy Solutions is the red one. The amber line is the middle of that set, which includes suppliers and maintenance businesses as well as installers.

We had solar panels installed at our building by Bison Energy Solutions and couldn't be happier with the results. The quality of the installation was excellent — clean, precise work, and everything was done to code without any issues. The team was professional from start to finish. Communication was clear throughout the process, and they were responsive to any questions we had along the way and still respond to me when I ask for help! Highly recommend Bison Energy Solutions for anyone considering solar for their business. Great experience overall!

Jay is a miracle worker. We were quoted thousands of dollars by two other companies for a fix on our solar. I called Jay at Bison and he showed up a few hours later. He went and fixed it on the spot for a very; very small fraction of the other estimates. He is friendly, professional, knowledgeable and incredibly competent. If I could give 10 stars I would.

I had this team replace my main electrical panel in preparation for the Tesla Powerwall 3 system installation. They did the whole job in one day, had PG&G remove the feed lines, then they removed the old panel, then they installed the new panel, then they fixing the stucco and color matched it, then had the city inspect it, then had PG&E replace the feed lines with new ones and then PG&E installed the meter.

What the company says about itself

Taken from its own website. We have not checked any of it, and a sentence on a website is not evidence.

  • Warranty

“financial performance. perfection guaranteed At Bison Energy, we take great pride…”

Elsewhere

  • It is also reviewed on the Better Business Bureau. Worth reading before you sign anything: those are a different crowd, and the complaints that reach the Better Business Bureau rarely reach Google.
  • It posts on LinkedIn, Instagram and Facebook. A page that stopped posting years ago tells you something a listing will not.

Who Google shows alongside them

Google’s own “people also viewed” set, in Google’s order. It is Google’s comparison, not ours.

The ones without a link have no page here, either because Google does not categorise them as solar businesses or because we could not match the name to a listing with confidence.

Ordered by how much we can tell you about each, which is not an order of quality. We do not know which of these is better and would not say if we did.

What we don't know

  • The date above is the newest review we hold, which is not necessarily the newest that exists — we hold a large share of Google's reviews, not all of them.
  • We do not verify licences, insurance or bonding. Nothing here has been checked against a state licensing board.
  • We cannot tell you what an installation costs, and we hold nothing about the equipment they fit.
