Its one and two star share is 9 points below the typical installer in Fort Lauderdale. Across Florida, 285 of the 675 installers whose breakdown Google has published carry a higher share than this one.

The percentages are Google’s own arithmetic over every review it holds, not a sample we assembled. Separately we hold 24 review texts for this company, quoted below. Google publishes review ages rather than dates, so every date here is approximate.

Each mark is one company we hold in Fort Lauderdale whose Google breakdown has been read, placed by its share of one and two star reviews. BROWARD SOLAR INC. is the red one. The amber line is the middle of that set, which includes suppliers and maintenance businesses as well as installers.

What reviewers said

I used to receive a good service from them, I don't know what happened. I have been trying to get served for more than 6 months now and they never come. It is a shame, bad customer service. I don't recommend them anymore.

Jim at Broward Solar was great! I had no experience with a solar panel on a house I purchased. He walked me through, step by step when I needed to replace the roof. It's refreshing to get great customer service especially when you have no experience and get treated with respect, not talked down to! I would recommend them unequivocally!

Broward Solar and Jim are THE BEST! I've had the pleasure of dealing with Jim and his company for the past 10 years. The company provides service on my solar panels and helped me install new panels in 2018. Overall, great company and great guy!

  • 5★ · around February 2026

When my roof was replaced 2 years ago, they disconnected my solar hot water heater. I reported it and they tried to get it right several times, but never did. After all this time, I contacted Broward Solar and Jim fixed everything without any surprises and at a fair price.

What the company says about itself

Taken from its own website. We have not checked any of it, and a sentence on a website is not evidence.

  • Warranty

“just replaced a leaking panel under warranty at no cost to us. He has always been…”

  • Family owned

“Professionalism Broward Solar is a family-owned business with over three decades of…”

  • Years in business

“Broward Solar since I bought my house over 10 years ago. They replaced the missing glass…”

  • Insured

“and automation available today Fully insured technicians using no subcontractors.”

Its website also mentions free estimate and established, but not in a sentence we can quote cleanly.

Who Google shows alongside them

Google’s own “people also viewed” set, in Google’s order. It is Google’s comparison, not ours.

The ones without a link have no page here, either because Google does not categorise them as solar businesses or because we could not match the name to a listing with confidence.

Ordered by how much we can tell you about each, which is not an order of quality. We do not know which of these is better and would not say if we did.

What we don't know

  • The date above is the newest review we hold, which is not necessarily the newest that exists — we hold a large share of Google's reviews, not all of them.
  • We do not verify licences, insurance or bonding. Nothing here has been checked against a state licensing board.
  • We cannot tell you what an installation costs, and we hold nothing about the equipment they fit.
