  Once solar panels are installed, good luck if they answer you calls, having issues with my solar panels and have been trying to call Tesla and emailed them every day, all I get we get back to you in 7 business day. Becareful what you are getting into

  [Update] Upon my 1-star review, Citadel customer specialist manager promptly contacted me to address the issues raised. While I appreciate their efforts in rectifying the situation, I also express the expectation that they continue to enhance their overall customer service standards in the future, aiming to prevent similar situations from arising. So rude and unprofessional from the first person who answers the phone. The worst customer service.

  We have had a great experience with Citadel! We got a new roof plus solar panels done last year, and there have been two little things that needed to be looked at since then and both times they sent someone over THE SAME DAY. Communication is great, and we have been very happy.

  Citadel Solar and Roofing installed 21 solar panels, 21 Enphase inverters, a Franklin Battery and a new breaker box in Dec. 2025 for our home in the Auburn area. This was a complex project and we were very pleased with their professionalism, cooperation, good communication and clean up. The work was completed in time to allow us to deduct the cost of the installation on our 2025 taxes. They also greatly assisted us in completing the SGIP (CA’s Self-Generation Incentive Program) application. We are now in receipt of the SGIP approval letter from PG&E.   We just had Citadel do an installation of an Enphase Battery, to go with the Solar installation they had done earlier. The process was very well organized and thorough. We had Liam Smith walk us through our battery options, and help figure out what would work for us. And then we had Ashley Jensen coordinating the dates for the site visits, inspections, installations, and approvals. After some testing, it looks like we're in shape to handle blackouts and brownouts in the summer coming.
