Its one and two star share is 8 points above the typical installer in Iowa. Across Iowa, 14 of the 46 installers whose breakdown Google has published carry a higher share than this one.

The percentages are Google’s own arithmetic over every review it holds, not a sample we assembled. Separately we hold 27 review texts for this company, quoted below. Google publishes review ages rather than dates, so every date here is approximate.

Once again please read the final thoughts. Please Read the last part of my post, I have made some significant changes. My 79 year old father-in-law had a system installed. The installers were great and personable. They did a fantastic job and the area was cleaned every day. Great people and staff. The owners though are a completely different story. Poor Poor Poor. Keep making appointments and then 15 minutes prior, they cancel. As an idea, they installed 3 Tesla batteries so this is a large system. Been installed for over a month but not working as no one from the office can explain. My father

Decided not to go with them. Their salesperson did not know what they were talking about. They blatantly lied to several questions. I fact checked later. Price was stupid high and could not justify or give me a break down of why; a generic template of price that made no sense. I heard they were good, but that must have been in the past.

I hired Eagle point solar to install a residential solar system in 2024. They appear to have subcontracted the work out, but the work was not done correctly. They managed to blow out the circuit boards on both my furnaces during installation; they initially wired the battery and protected circuits incorrectly and failed to wire the air conditioner and one section of solar panels. They also mis-wired the inverter. getting them to show up to correct anything took a lot of repeat phone calls and yelling. They eventually came to correct several of the problems, but refused to correct the inverter

Everyone we have dealt with at Eagle Point Solar have been fantastic. Our array has been installed in quicker timeline than we imagined. Now we are waiting for Alliant to give us the go ahead to turn it on.

Incredible to work with, I would highly recommend to anyone looking for solar. They will help navigate local and (if applicable) federal tax credits so you do not need to be an expert on regulations.

What the company says about itself

Taken from its own website. We have not checked any of it, and a sentence on a website is not evidence.

Its website also mentions financing, but not in a sentence we can quote cleanly.

    Elsewhere

    • It is also reviewed on the Better Business Bureau. Worth reading before you sign anything: those are a different crowd, and the complaints that reach the Better Business Bureau rarely reach Google.
    • It posts on LinkedIn, YouTube, Facebook and X. A page that stopped posting years ago tells you something a listing will not.

    Who Google shows alongside them

Google’s own “people also viewed” set, in Google’s order. It is Google’s comparison, not ours.

The ones without a link have no page here, either because Google does not categorise them as solar businesses or because we could not match the name to a listing with confidence.

Ordered by how much we can tell you about each, which is not an order of quality. We do not know which of these is better and would not say if we did.

    What we don't know

    • The date above is the newest review we hold, which is not necessarily the newest that exists — we hold a large share of Google's reviews, not all of them.
    • We do not verify licences, insurance or bonding. Nothing here has been checked against a state licensing board.
    • We cannot tell you what an installation costs, and we hold nothing about the equipment they fit.

Something wrong here? Tell us and a person will read it.
