Its one and two star share is 10 points above the typical installer in the San Marcos area. Across Texas, 204 of the 728 installers whose breakdown Google has published carry a higher share than this one.

The percentages are Google’s own arithmetic over every review it holds, not a sample we assembled. Separately we hold 23 review texts for this company, quoted below. Google publishes review ages rather than dates, so every date here is approximate.

Each mark is one company we hold in the San Marcos area whose Google breakdown has been read, placed by its share of one and two star reviews. Ecolectrics LLC is the red one. The amber line is the middle of that set, which includes suppliers and maintenance businesses as well as installers.

My solar panels are not producing any energy, and I’ve been trying for weeks to get help. I’ve called and left multiple messages, as well as submitted online requests, but I have not received any response. It’s very frustrating trying to find someone who will return my calls and help service my solar panels. The lack of communication and lack of support has been extremely disappointing.

Updated review, they stole over 2k from me. Was told to send them the incentive check from my electric company and they would handle it to pay the bill down, come to find out that never happened causing my bill to go up. I didnt realize til years later when I went and sold my house. Don't do business with thieves.

Solar panels were installed on the house we bought. A hardware errors needs to be fixed by them, but they won’t respond to anything. This address is not associated with them. Left multiple voicemails and emails and it’s been radio silent. Very frustrating experience.

Ecolectrics and the energy consultant Tim are excellent! They were quick to respond to any of my questions and there was no pressure the entire time. They had the best price for quality panels out of all the solar companies that I spoke …

Great experience, very knowledgeable service, and amazing value.

Despite some early communication problems, the entire process went very smoothly: From the analysis of what size system we would need, to the installation and activation of the system. What really made a difference was Tim, who answered all of my questions, no matter how small, which went a long way at putting my mind at ease.

Topics Google derives from the review text, with how often each appears. A frequent topic is not a good one: “price” turns up in praise and in complaints alike.

Elsewhere

  • It is also reviewed on the Better Business Bureau. Worth reading before you sign anything: those are a different crowd, and the complaints that reach the Better Business Bureau rarely reach Google.

Ordered by how much we can tell you about each, which is not an order of quality. We do not know which of these is better and would not say if we did.

What we don't know

  • The date above is the newest review we hold, which is not necessarily the newest that exists — we hold a large share of Google's reviews, not all of them.
  • We found nothing on a website for this company that states a warranty, a licence or how long it has traded.
  • We do not verify licences, insurance or bonding. Nothing here has been checked against a state licensing board.
  • We cannot tell you what an installation costs, and we hold nothing about the equipment they fit.
