I waited a long time to write a review because I wanted to give Jimmy the benefit of the doubt but after much research, I realize that he wasn't completely honest and upfront about the solar tax credit. Jimmy told us that we would get 30 percent back on our taxes and so the net cost of our system would be 30 percent less than what we were going to spend obviously. We never would have gone solar if we would've known that because of our tax situation we will not get ANY money back. We do not qualify for the tax credit. I feel nauseous even as I write this review. Yes, I regret the fact that I di

Electric City Solar is absolutely top-notch! I highly recommend them to anyone considering going solar. Their customer service is truly the best from start to finish, they're knowledgeable, friendly, professional, and incredibly efficient. They make the entire process simple and stress-free by taking care of just about everything for you. The owner was the first person I met, and he was incredibly friendly, honest, and thorough in explaining how solar works and whether it would truly benefit my specific situation. His transparency and knowledge immediately built trust and made the decision pro

Electric City Solar cuts through the complexity of the solar energy world and, even better, doesn't do the old hard-sell routine that you may have experienced from other contractors and service providers. Bill and his team will walk through whether solar even makes sense for your home, reviewing your electrical usage and whether your home or land can accommodate a system. We were fortunate enough to have some space for a ground mounted system when we realized our home was too shaded for a roof mount. The installers were beyond professional and courteous and were incredibly hard-working. Bill,

What the company says about itself
Taken from its own website. We have not checked any of it, and a sentence on a website is not evidence.
Its website also mentions free estimate, but not in a sentence we can quote cleanly.
Elsewhere
- It is also reviewed on the Better Business Bureau. Worth reading before you sign anything: those are a different crowd, and the complaints that reach the Better Business Bureau rarely reach Google.
- It posts on YouTube, LinkedIn, Instagram and Facebook. A page that stopped posting years ago tells you something a listing will not.

The ones without a link have no page here, either because Google does not categorise them as solar businesses or because we could not match the name to a listing with confidence.

Ordered by how much we can tell you about each, which is not an order of quality. We do not know which of these is better and would not say if we did.
What we don't know
- The date above is the newest review we hold, which is not necessarily the newest that exists — we hold a large share of Google's reviews, not all of them.
- We do not verify licences, insurance or bonding. Nothing here has been checked against a state licensing board.
- We cannot tell you what an installation costs, and we hold nothing about the equipment they fit.
