Its one and two star share is 2 points below the typical installer in Arlington. Across Texas, 399 of the 728 installers whose breakdown Google has published carry a higher share than this one.

The percentages are Google’s own arithmetic over every review it holds, not a sample we assembled. Separately we hold 5 review texts for this company, quoted below. Google publishes review ages rather than dates, so every date here is approximate.

Ordered by the share of one and two star reviews, weighted by how many reviews stand behind it. It ranks review records, not workmanship.

As co owner of J9 Roofing we were always looking for a good solar company to help with solar panels. For our customers. Eighth, in it, crew was referred to us by public adjuster. And we've been using him on our solar panels for our roofs. The show app on time, they do a great job.And they do it quick. We will definitely be using them in the future.

Energy Defense Systems came to my house and analyzed my system after the big hail storm of 2026. System was toast. Ethan worked with the insurance company to show the issues in great detail with readings a pictures. Also they had a great competitive bid. New system was installed by Energy Defense Systems in super HOT Texas weather. Team did a good job and left the site clean. Finally , Ethan came back out AFTER the sale and install to assist with trouble shooting the Internet connection. Great customer service!

Roofing company owner here 💁🏻‍♂️. Energy Defense systems is great. Ethan communicates well and coordinates great with my complex scheduling of multiple solar jobs at a time. Will definitely continue to send all my jobs that include anything solar …

What the company says about itself

Taken from its own website. We have not checked any of it, and a sentence on a website is not evidence.

  • Warranty

“We offer a ten-year workmanship warranty. We offer boutique solutions at…”

  • Insured

    “that: We’re fully licensed and insured. We’re family-owned and…”

  • Licensed

“appreciate that: We’re fully licensed and insured. We’re family-owned…”

Its website also mentions free estimate and family owned, but not in a sentence we can quote cleanly.

Elsewhere

  • It is also reviewed on Yelp and the Better Business Bureau. Worth reading before you sign anything: those are a different crowd, and the complaints that reach the Better Business Bureau rarely reach Google.

Ordered by how much we can tell you about each, which is not an order of quality. We do not know which of these is better and would not say if we did.

What we don't know

  • The date above is the newest review we hold, which is not necessarily the newest that exists — we hold a large share of Google's reviews, not all of them.
  • Google publishes no street address for this company, so we cannot say which town it is based in. Arlington is the area its listing was returned for, not an address we hold.
  • We do not verify licences, insurance or bonding. Nothing here has been checked against a state licensing board.
  • We cannot tell you what an installation costs, and we hold nothing about the equipment they fit.
