Its one and two star share is 2 points below the typical installer in New Jersey. Across New Jersey, 128 of the 237 installers whose breakdown Google has published carry a higher share than this one.

The percentages are Google’s own arithmetic over every review it holds, not a sample we assembled. Separately we hold 6 review texts for this company, quoted below. Google publishes review ages rather than dates, so every date here is approximate.

Prompt and excellent service. I called Alex after my original solar system installer went out of business and left my solar system with an inadequate inverter, never completed the SREC registration and never showed me how to monitor my system. Alex came and examined the installation, found that the inverter was not what was specified to be, ordered the correct new inverter and got my solar system working again.

Engineered Solar is definitely one of the best companies to work with if you are considering upgrading to solar. Customer service was outstanding. Alex is extremely knowledgeable and dedicated to giving customers the most efficient and long lasting panels on the current market. The installation process was quick and well done. The best part is that converting to solar has significantly reduced my energy bill!. Financing was easy....guidance was provided throughout the entire process. Thank you Engineered Solar! 🌞

The decision to install solar in your home is not a decision that you take lightly, so it’s important to work with a proven professional like Alex Chapin and Engineered Solar. Alex’s expertise and knowledge is obvious and he kept me informed during the process. We looked into ways of saving money, and converting to solar energy just made sense financially and it’s good for the environment. My electricity bill is almost nothing! Thanks to the custom design for my home provided by Engineered Solar. I highly recommend them!

What reviewers keep mentioning

  • knowledgeable staff 3

Topics Google derives from the review text, with how often each appears. A frequent topic is not a good one: “price” turns up in praise and in complaints alike.

What the company says about itself

Taken from its own website. We have not checked any of it, and a sentence on a website is not evidence.

  • Financing

“to get paid to turn your lights on! FINANCING AVAILABLE Website by PostcardMania Solar…”

  • Warranty

“most comprehensive complete-system warranty in the solar industry Power The…”

Its website also mentions 24/7 availability and established, but not in a sentence we can quote cleanly.

Elsewhere

  • It posts on Facebook. A page that stopped posting years ago tells you something a listing will not.

Who Google shows alongside them

Google’s own “people also viewed” set, in Google’s order. It is Google’s comparison, not ours.

The ones without a link have no page here, either because Google does not categorise them as solar businesses or because we could not match the name to a listing with confidence.

Ordered by how much we can tell you about each, which is not an order of quality. We do not know which of these is better and would not say if we did.

What we don't know

  • The date above is the newest review we hold, which is not necessarily the newest that exists — we hold a large share of Google's reviews, not all of them.
  • We do not verify licences, insurance or bonding. Nothing here has been checked against a state licensing board.
  • We cannot tell you what an installation costs, and we hold nothing about the equipment they fit.
