Its one and two star share is 2 points below the typical installer in Florida. Across Florida, 371 of the 675 installers whose breakdown Google has published carry a higher share than this one.

The percentages are Google’s own arithmetic over every review it holds, not a sample we assembled. Separately we hold 9 review texts for this company, quoted below. Google publishes review ages rather than dates, so every date here is approximate.

I knew what I wanted (a maxed out "tier 1") ground-mount PV system with enough storage to keep my fridges and freezer going in a power outage. I received quotes from a number of installers, but they were all either very far away or too expensive. Then I found Florida Solar Services and they were excellent, despite some unexpected hassle and expense that the County put us through in the permitting process. Gary made it happen at a reasonable price and the system is performing beautifully.

I was very apprehensive at first of a grid-tied solar array system as they are expensive and complex systems that require the right matched equipment and expert installation (no guessing on either). The companies I reached out to before FL Solar Services just did not make me comfortable enough to even request a quote. I like details on what I an getting and Gary (owner) took the time to explain everything involved with a grid-tied system. From the equipment, to engineering and permitting, to the agreement with the power company, Gary explained everything. Then Jonathan (expert in solar sales)

I engaged Florida Solar Services many years ago when we installed a passive solar hot water system. Gary gave the best service, he was always at the ready to assist and inform, and the system gave flawless performance. So, when we decided to go with a complete home solar photovoltaic system, there was no question but that we would seek his advice again. He came through with the best price, the highest quality of workmanship, and the best components. We are generating power at a rate that is beyond expectation. We couldn't be more pleased!

Topics Google derives from the review text, with how often each appears. A frequent topic is not a good one: “price” turns up in praise and in complaints alike.

What the company says about itself

Taken from its own website. We have not checked any of it, and a sentence on a website is not evidence.

  • Years in business

“solar company because: 1 We have over 15 years of experience. 2 We install…”

  • Licensed

“system installed at your home, our licensed specialists can make it happen. We…”

Its website also mentions financing, but not in a sentence we can quote cleanly.

Elsewhere

  • It posts on Facebook. A page that stopped posting years ago tells you something a listing will not.

Ordered by how much we can tell you about each, which is not an order of quality. We do not know which of these is better and would not say if we did.

What we don't know

  • The date above is the newest review we hold, which is not necessarily the newest that exists — we hold a large share of Google's reviews, not all of them.
  • We do not verify licences, insurance or bonding. Nothing here has been checked against a state licensing board.
  • We cannot tell you what an installation costs, and we hold nothing about the equipment they fit.
