Its one and two star share is 1 point below the typical installer in Greenville. Across South Carolina, 63 of the 101 installers whose breakdown Google has published carry a higher share than this one.

The percentages are Google’s own arithmetic over every review it holds, not a sample we assembled. Separately we hold 43 review texts for this company, quoted below. Google publishes review ages rather than dates, so every date here is approximate.

Ordered by the share of one and two star reviews, weighted by how many reviews stand behind it. It ranks review records, not workmanship.

Each mark is one company we hold in Greenville whose Google breakdown has been read, placed by its share of one and two star reviews. Gold Path Solar is the red one. The amber line is the middle of that set, which includes suppliers and maintenance businesses as well as installers.

In the process of selling my home with solar panels from Gold Path Solar and we needed some docs for the buyer and Adam was so responsive and happy to help with that request. Our whole process for the actual panels went great too, definitely recommend them.

Alex has been great to working with me every step of the way thru this process. He is truly an expert and knows what he is talking about.

We’ve had solar for 6+months and Alex still reaches out to make sure everything is going well. GPS does a great job through the entire process of setting clear, realistic expectations. They answered all of our questions and really walked through the process with us. The true cost of the project was explained, activation fee and what the real life value of the panels would look like. Now having had the panels for over 6 months, we are really happy with our whole experience.

Elsewhere

  • It is also reviewed on Yelp and the Better Business Bureau. Worth reading before you sign anything: those are a different crowd, and the complaints that reach the Better Business Bureau rarely reach Google.
  • It posts on X, Instagram, LinkedIn, YouTube and Facebook. A page that stopped posting years ago tells you something a listing will not.

Who Google shows alongside them

Google’s own “people also viewed” set, in Google’s order. It is Google’s comparison, not ours.

The ones without a link have no page here, either because Google does not categorise them as solar businesses or because we could not match the name to a listing with confidence.

Ordered by how much we can tell you about each, which is not an order of quality. We do not know which of these is better and would not say if we did.

What we don't know

  • The date above is the newest review we hold, which is not necessarily the newest that exists — we hold a large share of Google's reviews, not all of them.
  • We do not verify licences, insurance or bonding. Nothing here has been checked against a state licensing board.
  • We cannot tell you what an installation costs, and we hold nothing about the equipment they fit.
