Its one and two star share is 9 points above the typical installer in Round Rock. Across Texas, 238 of the 728 installers whose breakdown Google has published carry a higher share than this one.

The percentages are Google’s own arithmetic over every review it holds, not a sample we assembled. Separately we hold 5 review texts for this company, quoted below. Google publishes review ages rather than dates, so every date here is approximate.

After they installed our panels, it’s been very hard to get any response from them. We had a ‘never seen before’ problem with the battery they sold us that left us without power for a night. You would think if we’re paying $50,000, they would make sure everything is installed properly! We tried calling and calling them. When our panels were installed, they didn’t give us what we wanted. We wanted to be off grid, and to connect our old panels to our new panels. This didn’t work out. We were also promised a $15,000 rebate check by Jonathan and Nate. Jonathan told us it would take two weeks. Nate

I had an outstanding experience working with Ben at Green Star Energy. From start to finish, he made the entire process incredibly straightforward and easy to understand. Ben was professional, honest, and took the time to answer all of my questions without any pressure. What really stood out was his consistency and reliability. He followed through on everything he promised, communicated clearly throughout the process, and made sure everything was handled smoothly. It’s refreshing to work with someone who genuinely cares about providing excellent customer service. I highly recommend Ben and Gre

Out of all of the solar panel companies that pitched to me their services, Greenstar Power were the only ones that were willing to meet my needs in not installing panels on my roof but on a pergola in my backyard. The salesperson, Nick, did amazing job in submitting the requested approvals to my HOA, then hiring a contractor to first install the pergola in my backyard and then install the solar panels and its system. There could have been a lot of stress and frustration trying to deal with all this myself but Nick communicated with me to alleviate that and made it such a smooth process. I am s

Greenstar installed my solar panels 5 years ago. I am 100% pleased. My power bill ranges from $9 to $50 a month depending on the weather. I have a 2004 sq ft house. I do have the panels cleaned and checked, maintenance on anything always helps. I have contacted Greenstar with questions. They respond within 24 hours and are very helpful. I appreciate the great service.

What the company says about itself

Taken from its own website. We have not checked any of it, and a sentence on a website is not evidence.

  • Established

“the electricity bill. Quality Solar since 2017 Looking to take control of your…”

Its website also mentions woman owned, financing, free estimate and 24/7 availability, but not in a sentence we can quote cleanly.

Elsewhere

  • It is also reviewed on Yelp and the Better Business Bureau. Worth reading before you sign anything: those are a different crowd, and the complaints that reach the Better Business Bureau rarely reach Google.
  • It posts on Facebook, LinkedIn, Instagram, X and YouTube. A page that stopped posting years ago tells you something a listing will not.

What we don't know

  • The date above is the newest review we hold, which is not necessarily the newest that exists — we hold a large share of Google's reviews, not all of them.
  • We do not verify licences, insurance or bonding. Nothing here has been checked against a state licensing board.
  • We cannot tell you what an installation costs, and we hold nothing about the equipment they fit.
