Its one and two star share is 18 points above the typical installer in Florida. Across Florida, 96 of the 675 installers whose breakdown Google has published carry a higher share than this one.

The percentages are Google’s own arithmetic over every review it holds, not a sample we assembled. Separately we hold 10 review texts for this company, quoted below. Google publishes review ages rather than dates, so every date here is approximate.

The robo calls are infuriating, I have gotten 7 today. I have been nice, I have cussed, I have asked to please stop calling. Its horrible.

This has been a never ending nightmare. I got a quote from Scott on August 20, 2020 with and installation estimate of September 12, 2020. It was all down hill from there. The panels finally got installed in mid-December however due to a series of problems obtaining permits and engineering drawings and mistakes in completing the Duke Energy Interconnect Agreement my net meter was not installed until May 7, 2021. My Enphase monitoring system still isn't working correctly. I have three living spaces with 4 power panels, two of which are for the Main house. All of this was known up front. Scott ca

I have found Scott to be honest and working hard to get the solar setup done correctly, with affordable solutions. If you are looking for a quality solar provider who is very affordable, then call Scott at Homes.Solar!

I am not great at reviews, but Scott has been so great I am going to give it a try. First off, I want to start by saying Homes.Solar is not the original installer. The original installer has gone out of business and the owner went to jail. I was looking for a solar company to look at my system for a while, something just didn't seem right and since the 3g monitoring was shut down, I didn't have a way to check it. October I received a bill from Teco, which told me system was down. I still had not found anyone to look at my system, so I started to Google solar company's and try to find someone t

What reviewers keep mentioning

  • system 4
  • company 3
  • solar company 2
  • customer care 2
  • inverter replacement 2

Topics Google derives from the review text, with how often each appears. A frequent topic is not a good one: “price” turns up in praise and in complaints alike.

What the company says about itself

Taken from its own website. We have not checked any of it, and a sentence on a website is not evidence.

  • Financing

“year. $0 Upfront Costs Hassle-free financing options mean that going green has never been…”

Its website also mentions warranty, free estimate, licensed and licence number, but not in a sentence we can quote cleanly.

Elsewhere

  • It is also reviewed on the Better Business Bureau. Worth reading before you sign anything: those are a different crowd, and the complaints that reach the Better Business Bureau rarely reach Google.
  • It posts on Pinterest, X and Facebook. A page that stopped posting years ago tells you something a listing will not.

What we don't know

  • The date above is the newest review we hold, which is not necessarily the newest that exists — we hold a large share of Google's reviews, not all of them.
  • Google publishes no street address for this company, so we cannot say which town it is based in. Valrico is the area its listing was returned for, not an address we hold.
  • We do not verify licences, insurance or bonding. Nothing here has been checked against a state licensing board.
  • We cannot tell you what an installation costs, and we hold nothing about the equipment they fit.
