Independent Power Grid

Each mark is one company we hold in Wisconsin whose Google breakdown has been read, placed by its share of one and two star reviews. Independent Power Grid is the red one. The amber line is the middle of that set, which includes suppliers and maintenance businesses as well as installers.

Craig made many promises and claims about solar. He then asked me to help with the power company applications. He has made many promises and has not completed anything on time. He expects money upfront, but doesn't complete on time. I have been waiting and have gotten no progress on my installation. I originally suggested him to quote other family members, but they are in the same position. He is not completing these. He even asked me to forge his signature on an application for a different customer. I would stay away from him altogether. I have asked for a refund and he said it wasn't possibl

Absolutely the worst experience I have ever had with a company ever! I met with Craig and was convinced to put $9000 down on a solar system to be installed and was put off for months with excuses. Finally Craig showed up just to screw a junction box to my metal roof, run flex conduit over the eve down to a fuse box which a hole was drilled through my siding then said he didn't have everything he needed and was never seen again. It has now been more than 4 years and still fighting to get the remainder of my deposit back. I have had to get a lawyer just to get a partial check each time in which

We hired IPG to do a ground solar installation. Quote came in at around 15k. We gave the initial 50% deposit to get started. Weeks went by with no work being completed, called numerous times to get them out to get started. They would come and do a bit here and a bit there. I asked if we could pay the remaining balance to speed thing up and we agreed on paying the rest to get things completed. They did get the pole in the ground and panels installed and that was about it before we had to terminate them due to length of time this took and the constant communication on our end to get them back. Craig did a great job explaining the process and how everything worked. I would highly recommend checking out solar and seeing what you can save. Not to mention the federal tax credit and grants that are available that can reimburse you up to 80%.

Craig and his crew did a great job installing and coordinating the permits, inspections and required signage WPS needed to activate my roof top solar array. The Enlighten app we installed on my phone allows me to monitor the system vitals, like consumption, solar production, and kWH exported to the Grid, 24/7. I also get a monthly recap report sent to my email, all free of charge. I love that extra feature!

My wife and I decided to install solar energy on our home after realizing the tax benefits that were available, and wanting to reduce our carbon footprint while saving money. After meeting with Craig from Independent Power Grid we were sold. IPG was able to design our system simply by sending a copy of our latest electricity bill. After IPG designed our system, they explained the process for installation and were able to provide us with the amount of rebates we would be entitled to. IPG even filled out the rebate forms and reserved our rebate before the system was installed. Installation was ju

Topics Google derives from the review text, with how often each appears. A frequent topic is not a good one: “price” turns up in praise and in complaints alike.

• It is also reviewed on Yelp and the Better Business Bureau. Worth reading before you sign anything: those are a different crowd, and the complaints that reach the Better Business Bureau rarely reach Google.

Google’s own “people also viewed” set, in Google’s order. It is Google’s comparison, not ours.

The ones without a link have no page here, either because Google does not categorise them as solar businesses or because we could not match the name to a listing with confidence.

Ordered by how much we can tell you about each, which is not an order of quality. We do not know which of these is better and would not say if we did.

• —The date above is the newest review we hold, which is not necessarily the newest that exists — we hold a large share of Google's reviews, not all of them.
• —We found nothing on a website for this company that states a warranty, a licence or how long it has traded.
• —We do not verify licences, insurance or bonding. Nothing here has been checked against a state licensing board.
• —We cannot tell you what an installation costs, and we hold nothing about the equipment they fit.
