Its one and two star share is 40 points above the typical installer in the Converse area. Across Texas, 43 of the 728 installers whose breakdown Google has published carry a higher share than this one.

The percentages are Google’s own arithmetic over every review it holds, not a sample we assembled. Separately we hold 10 review texts for this company, quoted below. Google publishes review ages rather than dates, so every date here is approximate.

Longhorn Solar installed panels on my house but over the last year or so they are not generating any savings. Last month, Sep 23, indicated 0. Panels are under warranty but trying to get someone to call & schedule a service appointment for service has been extremely frustrating. Apparently they do not stand by their sales guarantee.

Don’t use this company! This company continuously made it difficult to get any problems fixed. I always had to wait more than a week to get people out to my house and then another few days to get the right person back out to fix the issue. I had multiple problems with the system, at times I was notified that there was an error and no solar energy was being diverted to my house. They miscalculated and didn’t install enough solar panels and they wanted to markup the price to get additional panels installed. They made holes on my brand new roof to install some panels, then they removed them to in

They only return sales calls. I waited about two weeks and finally reached sales and was told it would take service TWO WEEKS to call me back. Six weeks later I now have GVEC coming out Monday . I would be ok with telling me the truth up front but it is insulting to think I am so stupid that I will not realize they have not called me back. Service rating -10

Good service and attention to detail. We had to remind them of a few things, but then they really followed through and were proactive. Technicians were kind and professional.

Was looking to get a battery system installed to existing panels. Kent was very helpful in showing and explaining different setups and their costs. While we ended up not getting anything due to unforeseen circumstances, Kent was understanding and polite. Was nice to not feel pressure.

What the company says about itself

Taken from its own website. We have not checked any of it, and a sentence on a website is not evidence.

  • Established

“0 Solar power systems installed since 2009 0 $ Dollars In customer savings 0…”

Its website also mentions financing, warranty and free estimate, but not in a sentence we can quote cleanly.

Elsewhere

  • It is also reviewed on Yelp. Worth reading before you sign anything: those are a different crowd, and the complaints that reach the Better Business Bureau rarely reach Google.
  • It posts on Instagram, X and Facebook. A page that stopped posting years ago tells you something a listing will not.

Who Google shows alongside them

Google’s own “people also viewed” set, in Google’s order. It is Google’s comparison, not ours.

The ones without a link have no page here, either because Google does not categorise them as solar businesses or because we could not match the name to a listing with confidence.

What we don't know

  • The date above is the newest review we hold, which is not necessarily the newest that exists — we hold a large share of Google's reviews, not all of them.
  • We do not verify licences, insurance or bonding. Nothing here has been checked against a state licensing board.
  • We cannot tell you what an installation costs, and we hold nothing about the equipment they fit.
