Maine Energy Performance Solutions

Each mark is one company we hold in the Lewiston area whose Google breakdown has been read, placed by its share of one and two star reviews. Maine Energy Performance Solutions is the red one. The amber line is the middle of that set, which includes suppliers and maintenance businesses as well as installers.

Great group of people who did what they said they were going to do when they said they were going to do it. The installation of the 8kwh solar array and the air source heat pump look great and I've had zero problems. Will look to them for future work.

Highly recommend MEPS for both solar and heat pump installations. MEPS installed a 12 kw solar system on my garage roof in Feb 2020 after helping me size a net-zero grid tied system. Worked with Rich Simon and was very happy with the process and his attention to my questions and requests. They used well known components and quality hardware all at a lower price than other bidders. Work was done promptly even in winter conditions and left the job site tidy. Rich was very responsive to my only subsequent problem and was able to solve it over the phone (turned out to be my own wifi router needed

MEPS installed a solar array on our barn this summer. They were helpful and professional and answered all our questions. The crew was excellent and the installation went smoothly. The array looks great and is working out even better than we hoped! I highly recommend.

Topics Google derives from the review text, with how often each appears. A frequent topic is not a good one: “price” turns up in praise and in complaints alike.

• It is also reviewed on the Better Business Bureau. Worth reading before you sign anything: those are a different crowd, and the complaints that reach the Better Business Bureau rarely reach Google.

Google’s own “people also viewed” set, in Google’s order. It is Google’s comparison, not ours.

The ones without a link have no page here, either because Google does not categorise them as solar businesses or because we could not match the name to a listing with confidence.

Ordered by how much we can tell you about each, which is not an order of quality. We do not know which of these is better and would not say if we did.

• —The date above is the newest review we hold, which is not necessarily the newest that exists — we hold a large share of Google's reviews, not all of them.
• —We found nothing on a website for this company that states a warranty, a licence or how long it has traded.
• —We do not verify licences, insurance or bonding. Nothing here has been checked against a state licensing board.
• —We cannot tell you what an installation costs, and we hold nothing about the equipment they fit.
