Its one and two star share is 12 points above the typical installer in Colorado. Across Colorado, 41 of the 216 installers whose breakdown Google has published carry a higher share than this one.

The percentages are Google’s own arithmetic over every review it holds, not a sample we assembled. Separately we hold 20 review texts for this company, quoted below. Google publishes review ages rather than dates, so every date here is approximate.

As other reviewers have noted you will want to avoid working with Dave and his team at Metro Solar. In my experience they are highly unprofessional and as a business philosophy seem to cut corners wherever they can on installations. Good luck getting any type of resolution when their corner cutting results in issues. I can think of no good reason to expose yourself to the risk of working with this company. You have been warned, but if for some reason you like to take chances with your time and money keep the following in mind. 1. Make sure they provide you with a detailed quote including an it

We had a terrible experience with this company and would steer clear of working with Dave and his team. They were non-responsive and were unable to get work done in the timeframe we needed.

I paid Metro Solar $20,000 to design and install a new solar hot water storage system. The design was flawed so one of the pumps kept failing. Dave refused to warranty the failed pump or the installation and now wants to charge me $2,300 to fix his mistake. In addition, they did not charge me sales tax for the replacement pump, so they are scamming the State of Colorado and honest taxpayers as well. Stay away if you want a contractor who stands behind his work

Metro Solar has been maintaining both of my solar systems for years and when I decided to add a battery backup system to my system I knew they were the people to call. Kyle and the rest of the crew did a great job, with plenty of explanation on each step. They are one of the few solar companies in the Denver area that will work on hydro thermal system.

Scott has been great to work with and has helped me address so many issues that our previous solar installers dropped the ball on. Thanks a lot, guys!

What the company says about itself

Taken from its own website. We have not checked any of it, and a sentence on a website is not evidence.

Its website also mentions established, but not in a sentence we can quote cleanly.

    Elsewhere

    • It is also reviewed on Yelp. Worth reading before you sign anything: those are a different crowd, and the complaints that reach the Better Business Bureau rarely reach Google.

    Who Google shows alongside them

Google’s own “people also viewed” set, in Google’s order. It is Google’s comparison, not ours.

The ones without a link have no page here, either because Google does not categorise them as solar businesses or because we could not match the name to a listing with confidence.

    What we don't know

    • The date above is the newest review we hold, which is not necessarily the newest that exists — we hold a large share of Google's reviews, not all of them.
    • We do not verify licences, insurance or bonding. Nothing here has been checked against a state licensing board.
    • We cannot tell you what an installation costs, and we hold nothing about the equipment they fit.
