Its one and two star share is level with the typical installer in the Dayton area. Across Ohio, 49 of the 113 installers whose breakdown Google has published carry a higher share than this one.

The percentages are Google’s own arithmetic over every review it holds, not a sample we assembled. Separately we hold 79 review texts for this company, quoted below. Google publishes review ages rather than dates, so every date here is approximate.

On the Ohio ranking

No. 4 of the 22 rankable records in Ohio →

Ordered by the share of one and two star reviews, weighted by how many reviews stand behind it. It ranks review records, not workmanship.

Every company we hold in the Dayton area, on one axis

0% rated 1–2★15%

Each mark is one company we hold in the Dayton area whose Google breakdown has been read, placed by its share of one and two star reviews. OGW Energy Resources is the red one. The amber line is the middle of that set, which includes suppliers and maintenance businesses as well as installers.

I have had the pleasure of working with OGW on designing and installing my residential solar array; first with the initial array and, eight years later, with an expansion. They are very knowledgeable and competent in every aspect of solar energy production. I am very pleased with the outcome. Thank you OGW.

I appreciated how patient they were with my parents, especially since they asked the same questions several times during the consultation. Nobody acted irritated or dismissive. The crew stayed respectful throughout the project and cleaned every corner afterward. The whole experience felt surprisingly stress free.

I very much appreciate OGW Energy Resources; they were very professional, great to work with, and very personable throughout the process. They explain everything thoroughly and answered our questions so we could understand during and after the installation. We started realizing the benefits of the solar system that was installed instantly. I would highly recommend OGW Energy Resources!

What the company says about itself

Taken from its own website. We have not checked any of it, and a sentence on a website is not evidence.

Elsewhere

  • Google also lists this company under electrical.
  • It is also reviewed on Yelp. Worth reading before you sign anything: those are a different crowd, and the complaints that reach the Better Business Bureau rarely reach Google.
  • It posts on X, LinkedIn, YouTube, Instagram and Facebook. A page that stopped posting years ago tells you something a listing will not.

Who Google shows alongside them

Google’s own “people also viewed” set, in Google’s order. It is Google’s comparison, not ours.

The ones without a link have no page here, either because Google does not categorise them as solar businesses or because we could not match the name to a listing with confidence.

Ordered by how much we can tell you about each, which is not an order of quality. We do not know which of these is better and would not say if we did.

What we don't know

  • The date above is the newest review we hold, which is not necessarily the newest that exists — we hold a large share of Google's reviews, not all of them.
  • We do not verify licences, insurance or bonding. Nothing here has been checked against a state licensing board.
  • We cannot tell you what an installation costs, and we hold nothing about the equipment they fit.
