Its one and two star share is level with the typical installer in the Dayton area. Across Ohio, 49 of the 113 installers whose breakdown Google has published carry a higher share than this one.

The percentages are Google’s own arithmetic over every review it holds, not a sample we assembled. Separately we hold 15 review texts for this company, quoted below. Google publishes review ages rather than dates, so every date here is approximate.

Each mark is one company we hold in the Dayton area whose Google breakdown has been read, placed by its share of one and two star reviews. Solar Power & Light, LLC. is the red one. The amber line is the middle of that set, which includes suppliers and maintenance businesses as well as installers.

Happy with my solar panels and battery back up. Communication throughout the process could have been better. Took a long time to get the PTO

Exceptional company that comes through for their customers and puts them first. Provides 1st class customer service, product quality, and follow through.

Solar Power & Light listened carefully to our desires for an installation--although I had little knowledge or vocabulary for the issues, proposing a system within our budget. They took care of all city and county permits. Once Dayton stopped dragging their feet, they moved quickly and installed the system within a day. They accompanied the required inspectors. I would strongly recommend this company.

The team at Solar Power & Light installed our initial 32-panel ground-based solar array in 2018. From the start they did great work and were knowledgeable at the many details of design and installation. And they were also friendly and easy to talk to. They even put up with our two puppies stealing their tools during the installation. :) In 2024, we added a battery to the system, which required some upgrades to manage power storage and allow the system to run when the grid is down. The installation went smoothly, everything looks great (impressive), and the app makes it fun to monitor the real-

What the company says about itself

  • Licensed

Its website also mentions free estimate and 24/7 availability, but not in a sentence we can quote cleanly.

Who Google shows alongside them

Google’s own “people also viewed” set, in Google’s order. It is Google’s comparison, not ours.

The ones without a link have no page here, either because Google does not categorise them as solar businesses or because we could not match the name to a listing with confidence.

Ordered by how much we can tell you about each, which is not an order of quality. We do not know which of these is better and would not say if we did.

What we don't know

  • The date above is the newest review we hold, which is not necessarily the newest that exists — we hold a large share of Google's reviews, not all of them.
  • We do not verify licences, insurance or bonding. Nothing here has been checked against a state licensing board.
  • We cannot tell you what an installation costs, and we hold nothing about the equipment they fit.
