Its one and two star share is 3 points above the typical installer in Hawaii. Across Hawaii, 36 of the 87 installers whose breakdown Google has published carry a higher share than this one.

The percentages are Google’s own arithmetic over every review it holds, not a sample we assembled. Separately we hold 59 review texts for this company, quoted below. Google publishes review ages rather than dates, so every date here is approximate.

What reviewers said

Re repairs, Workers came to assess the reason that two of our panels were not working. From their voice message they left me they said they identified the two panels causing the issue on the inverter and left the panels disconnected. There was no information regarding any recommendation about next steps concerning the two panels. I reached out twice by phone to discuss this with them and left two voicemails. That was two weeks ago and I have heard nothing back. All that cost me $300.00

Does this company exist? I've been calling and emailing this company for the past two weeks and they don't answer the phone or return over a dozen voicemails. Maybe out of business?

Maintenance guys were very friendly and polite. Only issue I had was I would have preferred to speak to someone to arrange an appointment instead of doing it by email.

Great service..we have used them for years..

PV Hawaii has done warranty work (optimizer replacement) on three different occasions. Each visit was performed with excellent service, and I was truly satisfied with their work. They arrived between the time slot commitment, went over with me on the work they were going to perform, and when completed, they left the work area clean. It feels good to work with a company that takes pride in their work and treat you with aloha. I would not hesitate to recommend PV Hawaii to family and friends.

What the company says about itself

Taken from its own website. We have not checked any of it, and a sentence on a website is not evidence.

  • Warranty

“with manufacturers to file and manage warranty claims on your behalf. Planning a…”

Its website also mentions licence number, but not in a sentence we can quote cleanly.

Elsewhere

  • Google also lists this company under windows.
  • It is also reviewed on the Better Business Bureau. Worth reading before you sign anything: those are a different crowd, and the complaints that reach the Better Business Bureau rarely reach Google.

Ordered by how much we can tell you about each, which is not an order of quality. We do not know which of these is better and would not say if we did.

What we don't know

  • The date above is the newest review we hold, which is not necessarily the newest that exists — we hold a large share of Google's reviews, not all of them.
  • We do not verify licences, insurance or bonding. Nothing here has been checked against a state licensing board.
  • We cannot tell you what an installation costs, and we hold nothing about the equipment they fit.
