Its one and two star share is 12 points above the typical installer in California. Across California, 368 of the 1,529 installers whose breakdown Google has published carry a higher share than this one.

The percentages are Google’s own arithmetic over every review it holds, not a sample we assembled. Separately we hold 8 review texts for this company, quoted below. Google publishes review ages rather than dates, so every date here is approximate.

Terrible experience with Michael Snyder from here. Was polite and not going to write anything but after the third time where in I had to say I feel no desire to have solar and no interest in solar still he kept asking questions. There’s plenty of other solar companies looking for a quick buck in ca,

At the end of the day. I want promises made to be kept. And that’s what happened with Solup. They were extremely attentive throughout the process, and most Importantly, they sized my system so that my electric bill is effectively zeroed out.

Great service. They worked with LA County DPW. Always responsive and quick to follow up on any questions I had. System has been in for 4 months and has worked flawlessly.

Sol-up just completed our installation last week. Within a day of receiving our permits, the team was here doing our installation. We couldn't be happier with their work. They arrived on time, gave us advanced notice as to what was happening, and completed on schedule. All six members of the installation team were courteous and respectful of our property.

What the company says about itself

Taken from its own website. We have not checked any of it, and a sentence on a website is not evidence.

  • Established

“company offering top-tier products since 2009. Engineering is our foundation, and…”

Its website also mentions warranty, free estimate and licence number, but not in a sentence we can quote cleanly.

Ordered by how much we can tell you about each, which is not an order of quality. We do not know which of these is better and would not say if we did.

What we don't know

  • The date above is the newest review we hold, which is not necessarily the newest that exists — we hold a large share of Google's reviews, not all of them.
  • We do not verify licences, insurance or bonding. Nothing here has been checked against a state licensing board.
  • We cannot tell you what an installation costs, and we hold nothing about the equipment they fit.
