Its one and two star share is 5 points above the typical installer in New Jersey. Across New Jersey, 85 of the 237 installers whose breakdown Google has published carry a higher share than this one.

The percentages are Google’s own arithmetic over every review it holds, not a sample we assembled. Separately we hold 41 review texts for this company, quoted below. Google publishes review ages rather than dates, so every date here is approximate.

Please do your research before dealing with this company. They are unreliable at best. Most of the positive reviews are for employees that no longer work with them. Reps have not been paid, and neither have installers. I would highly recommend several other companies offering comparable or better products at much better prices. They are also falsely representing their review rating. They say 5.0 on their site, yet it is clearly a 4.7 on Google.

Solar Gleam has not delivered on several promises that were part of my solar project. While I could have been saving, now I am overpaying for things that should have never been a part of my deal. When ever I am able to get them on the phone it is nothing but lies and broken promises. Good luck to anyone who deals with this company.

Was misled by a representative Kayla and her cohort Gio awhile ago. Buyer beware

I am very happy with the work by the tech team and Giovanni. Working with me to help me get setup with system and explaining how the system works and what to expect prior to the installation of the panels. I differently would let my friends know how solar panels are very important to me and how it is very important for the environment. I give solar power systems the highest level of service and support. And Giovanni. A great deal with him Working with me to help me understand everything. I definitely appreciate his help.

We had an exceptional experience with solar gleam and Sun Power Teams. Coordination from admin to project completion was transitional. Our Rep was Giovanni very through in explaining the system. Thank you guys.

Topics Google derives from the review text, with how often each appears. A frequent topic is not a good one: “price” turns up in praise and in complaints alike.

Elsewhere

  • It is also reviewed on the Better Business Bureau and Yelp. Worth reading before you sign anything: those are a different crowd, and the complaints that reach the Better Business Bureau rarely reach Google.

Who Google shows alongside them

Google’s own “people also viewed” set, in Google’s order. It is Google’s comparison, not ours.

The ones without a link have no page here, either because Google does not categorise them as solar businesses or because we could not match the name to a listing with confidence.

Ordered by how much we can tell you about each, which is not an order of quality. We do not know which of these is better and would not say if we did.

What we don't know

  • The date above is the newest review we hold, which is not necessarily the newest that exists — we hold a large share of Google's reviews, not all of them.
  • We found nothing on a website for this company that states a warranty, a licence or how long it has traded.
  • We do not verify licences, insurance or bonding. Nothing here has been checked against a state licensing board.
  • We cannot tell you what an installation costs, and we hold nothing about the equipment they fit.
