My experience with Solar Side Up has been disappointing due to a lack of transparency and unexpected costs. The company promoted their product as a “smart investment” and a way to reduce our carbon footprint, but they failed to mention key details about maintenance costs and system downtime. **Unexpected Service Fees and Long Wait Times** We were not informed about the $350 diagnostic fee, which must be paid upfront, or the three-week wait time for service calls. We expected some maintenance but were surprised by how often the system goes down—leaving us to pay out of pocket for repairs. - If

Cannot get ahold of them for anything. Website is down, nobody returns my phone calls or has replied to my messages on Google. We bought a house that had solar panels installed by this company and desperately need to get them repaired. If I could just get a response I would most likely change my review.

Horrible customer service. I signed up with Solar Side Up (SSU) in March after being assured the system would be turned on for the costly summer months. Despite some weeks-long radio silence after I signed the contract and a few small delays, the system was installed two months later at the end of May. Unfortunately, SSU then botched the handoff to Xcel leading to a further 2.5 month delay with my system offline until early August. This delay resulted in me covering 100% of June and July's electricity bills (~$350) and was in no way my fault. Understanding that this was probably a relatively c

Personnel with Solar Side Up were extremely professional and efficient. They were well organized and the cost quite reasonable.

Solar Side Up took over my maintenance and warranty when 1800Solar tanked. They tracked my system and alerted me to issues I was having with my solar. They went above and beyond by coordinating the solution to the issue and resolving my problems. Their maintenance of my system has been excellent.

I initially contacted Solar Side Up in February of 2024 for a solar design and proposal alongside others that I have worked with. The process and attentiveness from Brian especially through the design and proposal process along with his expertise in the design and material selection instilled a lot of confidence. They were not the cheapest company that we found, but they were very competitive along with the confidence they instilled through the process that set them apart from the others. When going through our usage history with the utility alongside of our site plan, Brian made specific reco

Taken from its own website. We have not checked any of it, and a sentence on a website is not evidence.

Its website also mentions free estimate and established, but not in a sentence we can quote cleanly.

    What we don't know

    • The date above is the newest review we hold, which is not necessarily the newest that exists — we hold a large share of Google's reviews, not all of them.
    • Google publishes no street address for this company, so we cannot say which town it is based in. Richmond is the area its listing was returned for, not an address we hold.
    • We do not verify licences, insurance or bonding. Nothing here has been checked against a state licensing board.
    • We cannot tell you what an installation costs, and we hold nothing about the equipment they fit.
