Its one and two star share is 5 points above the typical installer in the Edison area. Across New Jersey, 68 of the 237 installers whose breakdown Google has published carry a higher share than this one.

The percentages are Google’s own arithmetic over every review it holds, not a sample we assembled. Separately we hold 18 review texts for this company, quoted below. Google publishes review ages rather than dates, so every date here is approximate.

Each mark is one company we hold in the Edison area whose Google breakdown has been read, placed by its share of one and two star reviews. Spectacular Solar is the red one. The amber line is the middle of that set, which includes suppliers and maintenance businesses as well as installers.

This guys are very irresponsible! I have done 4 projects in the same time and they have been very slow and one of them has not been finalized yet as of today. This project started back on December 2018. I would not recommend working with this guys to anyone!

Spectacular Solar is the best solar company in the universe. They installed solar on my house and my bill with JCPL is less than $0.

This company is great to work with! It is hard to pick a reputable Solar company these days with all the negative feedback on some of the large companies. But Spectacular Solar has not only been upfront and honest the entire way, but they were great to work with and always wanted to make sure things were done right. If they made an error, they quickly fixed it. If I didn’t understand something, they took the time to answer my questions. I cannot recommend them enough! They were able to complete my entire system installation from the time I signed my contract through permission to operate in ab

Topics Google derives from the review text, with how often each appears. A frequent topic is not a good one: “price” turns up in praise and in complaints alike.

What the company says about itself

Taken from its own website. We have not checked any of it, and a sentence on a website is not evidence.

  • Financing

“INSTALLATIONS We offer flexible financing options to make solar energy more accessible…”

Its website also mentions free estimate and years in business, but not in a sentence we can quote cleanly.

Elsewhere

  • It is also reviewed on Yelp. Worth reading before you sign anything: those are a different crowd, and the complaints that reach the Better Business Bureau rarely reach Google.
  • It posts on Instagram and Facebook. A page that stopped posting years ago tells you something a listing will not.

Who Google shows alongside them

Google’s own “people also viewed” set, in Google’s order. It is Google’s comparison, not ours.

The ones without a link have no page here, either because Google does not categorise them as solar businesses or because we could not match the name to a listing with confidence.

What we don't know

  • The date above is the newest review we hold, which is not necessarily the newest that exists — we hold a large share of Google's reviews, not all of them.
  • We do not verify licences, insurance or bonding. Nothing here has been checked against a state licensing board.
  • We cannot tell you what an installation costs, and we hold nothing about the equipment they fit.
