Its one and two star share is 70 points above the typical installer in the Selma area. Across California, 24 of the 1,529 installers whose breakdown Google has published carry a higher share than this one.

The percentages are Google’s own arithmetic over every review it holds, not a sample we assembled. Separately we hold 10 review texts for this company, quoted below. Google publishes review ages rather than dates, so every date here is approximate.

Each mark is one company we hold in the Selma area whose Google breakdown has been read, placed by its share of one and two star reviews. Valley Solar is the red one. The amber line is the middle of that set, which includes suppliers and maintenance businesses as well as installers.

This company opened a credit card in my name. I called to clarify and they insulted me. They're charging me $4,000 for a filter that costs $1,200 in the store. I've reported them for fraud. Spread the word, and if anyone knows where to report them for being scammers, make it go viral. And if we can, let's make videos of the employees not having the proper documentation to work.

PLEASE DO NOT ENTER INTO A CONTRACT WITH THESE PEOPLE. THEY ARE LIARS. THE MACHINE NEVER WORKED, AND THE FINANCE COMPANY THEY USE IS A BUNCH OF THIEVES. MY CONTRACT WAS FOR 6,990.00. I ALREADY PAID 9,342.35, AND THEY SAY I OWE 3,318.24. THEY CHARGE FOR FINANCING BY THE HOUR AND BY THE DAY. NO ONE COMMITS TO REPAIRING ANYTHING, AND IF THEY COME OUT, THERE IS ALSO A COST.

Valley Solar Cleaning is probably one of the Hardest Most Professional companies I have had the pleasure of using in Years!! Not Only did they do A FANTASTIC job on my Solar Panels, but they text you remind you of your appointment then if they are going to be late they let you know instead of leaving you in the dark! Most companies don't think twice about letting you know!! Valley Solar takes before and after pictures so you can see what they did., My Panels Look Like They Are New Again!

I had my panels installed by Valley Solar, and I'm very happy and satisfied with their work. They are very friendly and professional. Since installing my panels, I haven't paid any electricity bills. I highly recommend Valley Solar.

Topics Google derives from the review text, with how often each appears. A frequent topic is not a good one: “price” turns up in praise and in complaints alike.

What the company says about itself

Taken from its own website. We have not checked any of it, and a sentence on a website is not evidence.

  • Financing

“guide you through transparent solar financing options, so you can choose the path that…”

  • Warranty

“with precision modeling and ends with guaranteed performance – backed by the integrity…”

  • 24/7 availability

    “a noticeable loss in production. 24/7 real-time performance monitoring…”

  • Established

“across Western Massachusetts since 2015, completing thousands of successful…”

Its website also mentions licensed, but not in a sentence we can quote cleanly.

Elsewhere

  • It is also reviewed on ConsumerAffairs. Worth reading before you sign anything: those are a different crowd, and the complaints that reach the Better Business Bureau rarely reach Google.
  • It posts on Instagram, LinkedIn and Facebook. A page that stopped posting years ago tells you something a listing will not.

Who Google shows alongside them

Google’s own “people also viewed” set, in Google’s order. It is Google’s comparison, not ours.

Ordered by how much we can tell you about each, which is not an order of quality. We do not know which of these is better and would not say if we did.

What we don't know

  • The date above is the newest review we hold, which is not necessarily the newest that exists — we hold a large share of Google's reviews, not all of them.
  • We do not verify licences, insurance or bonding. Nothing here has been checked against a state licensing board.
  • We cannot tell you what an installation costs, and we hold nothing about the equipment they fit.
