I have several merlin solar panels on my camper and they are, by far, much better than common brands like Goal Zero. They are the perfect application for an overland solar setup. More importantly, Dave and their customer service take care of you if you purchase a solar panel from them. I severely scraped my panel to the point it had punctures in it. Dave worked with me to make sure I was taken care of. I appreciate all the help!

When I purchased my Kimberley S3 Kruiser through David, I also purchased his 170 Watt portable solar panel and the CEL-FI GO M Smart Signal Booster. Both have been working beyond my expectations for over a year now. David has in depth technical knowledge and a driven desire to maximise his customer's satisfaction. Always a pleasure doing business with him.

4th D Solar should be your go-to source for anything related to solar power. Their Merlin panels are top-tier...I don't think there's a better panel on the market. They also offer excellent customer service, and Dave is always happy to assist.

Topics Google derives from the review text, with how often each appears. A frequent topic is not a good one: “price” turns up in praise and in complaints alike.

Who Google shows alongside them

Google’s own “people also viewed” set, in Google’s order. It is Google’s comparison, not ours.

The ones without a link have no page here, either because Google does not categorise them as solar businesses or because we could not match the name to a listing with confidence.

Ordered by how much we can tell you about each, which is not an order of quality. We do not know which of these is better and would not say if we did.

What we don't know

  • The date above is the newest review we hold, which is not necessarily the newest that exists — we hold a large share of Google's reviews, not all of them.
  • We found nothing on a website for this company that states a warranty, a licence or how long it has traded.
  • We do not verify licences, insurance or bonding. Nothing here has been checked against a state licensing board.
  • We cannot tell you what an installation costs, and we hold nothing about the equipment they fit.
