Its one and two star share is 1 point below the typical installer in California. Across California, 788 of the 1,529 installers whose breakdown Google has published carry a higher share than this one.

The percentages are Google’s own arithmetic over every review it holds, not a sample we assembled. Separately we hold 21 review texts for this company, quoted below. Google publishes review ages rather than dates, so every date here is approximate.

We had a fantastic experience with American Roofing & Solar from start to finish. After researching several roofers in the area, we chose them for their strong reputation and were impressed right away by the convenience of their online estimate calculator—it made getting started quick and stress-free. Their team helped us with roof repair after storm and wind damage, improved our attic venting for better airflow, and ultimately installed a beautiful new asphalt roof in a color that perfectly complements our home. The crew was professional, efficient, and clearly experienced, delivering high-qu

Highly recommended! We were looking for specialists for my sister-in-law's roof in California and after reviewing several options, we decided to go with them. She was delighted with the final result and how professional the entire repair and roof replacement process was. If you're looking for quality in the area, this is the place to go

What the company says about itself

Taken from its own website. We have not checked any of it, and a sentence on a website is not evidence.

  • Financing

“We offer competitive rates and financing options for repairs so that you can have…”

  • Warranty

“an affordable price point, to boot: guaranteed value without any bells &…”

  • 24/7 availability

“and recovery. We’re available 24/7 to respond immediately. We can…”

Its website also mentions free estimate, insured and licensed, but not in a sentence we can quote cleanly.

Elsewhere

  • Google also lists this company under roofing. A company that does both roofing and solar can handle the roof work a panel install often needs.
  • It posts on YouTube, Instagram and Facebook. A page that stopped posting years ago tells you something a listing will not.

The ones without a link have no page here, either because Google does not categorise them as solar businesses or because we could not match the name to a listing with confidence.

Ordered by how much we can tell you about each, which is not an order of quality. We do not know which of these is better and would not say if we did.

What we don't know

  • The date above is the newest review we hold, which is not necessarily the newest that exists — we hold a large share of Google's reviews, not all of them.
  • We do not verify licences, insurance or bonding. Nothing here has been checked against a state licensing board.
  • We cannot tell you what an installation costs, and we hold nothing about the equipment they fit.
