Its one and two star share is 9 points above the typical installer in Idaho. Across Idaho, 11 of the 50 installers whose breakdown Google has published carry a higher share than this one.

The percentages are Google’s own arithmetic over every review it holds, not a sample we assembled. Separately we hold 8 review texts for this company, quoted below. Google publishes review ages rather than dates, so every date here is approximate.

Aurora set up my system 23 years ago. In June of 2023 called because need to have generator fixed and was wanting to upgrade the system. Talked to them and they came and told me they could do the job. Would be 6 to 8 weeks before the could upgrade the system. But would get the parts to repair the generator in a week. After 12 weeks and 8 phone calls leaving a message that I had no power and no way to pump water. No one would ever return my phone calls. And I never even got a call that they did not want to do the job. I know they are good at their work and would have recommended to others. When

I most highly recommend Aurora Power and Design solar energy company in Boise Idaho. Compared to others, these folks have an actual location and people eager to help you. I have utilized their services on 3 occasions to help me with my Portable solar issues in a SUV I use for camping. In each case, they took me as a walk-in to analyze the problem, and the work was completed in short order. Mike and Derrick took plenty of time to understand my rather unique situation. They we're very friendly, knowledgeable, and diligent in their work. Fees were more than fair. To me, this is amazing considerin

Topics Google derives from the review text, with how often each appears. A frequent topic is not a good one: “price” turns up in praise and in complaints alike.

What the company says about itself

Taken from its own website. We have not checked any of it, and a sentence on a website is not evidence.

  • Established

“been in the solar energy business since 1985. As one of the oldest renewable…”

Elsewhere

  • It is also reviewed on Yelp. Worth reading before you sign anything: those are a different crowd, and the complaints that reach the Better Business Bureau rarely reach Google.
  • It posts on Facebook. A page that stopped posting years ago tells you something a listing will not.

Who Google shows alongside them

Google’s own “people also viewed” set, in Google’s order. It is Google’s comparison, not ours.

The ones without a link have no page here, either because Google does not categorise them as solar businesses or because we could not match the name to a listing with confidence.

Ordered by how much we can tell you about each, which is not an order of quality. We do not know which of these is better and would not say if we did.

What we don't know

  • The date above is the newest review we hold, which is not necessarily the newest that exists — we hold a large share of Google's reviews, not all of them.
  • We do not verify licences, insurance or bonding. Nothing here has been checked against a state licensing board.
  • We cannot tell you what an installation costs, and we hold nothing about the equipment they fit.
