Its one and two star share is level with the typical installer in Montana. Across Montana, 12 of the 36 installers whose breakdown Google has published carry a higher share than this one.

The percentages are Google’s own arithmetic over every review it holds, not a sample we assembled. Separately we hold 4 review texts for this company, quoted below. Google publishes review ages rather than dates, so every date here is approximate.

Each mark is one company we hold in Montana whose Google breakdown has been read, placed by its share of one and two star reviews. Big Sky Renewables is the red one. The amber line is the middle of that set, which includes suppliers and maintenance businesses as well as installers.

What reviewers said

  • 5★ · around November 2025 · the company replied

Big Sky Renewables upgraded my 15 year old solar electrical system and I'm really happy with the results. They quadrupled the energy output compared to my old solar array and they did the job for much less than a competitor's bid. Their field installers were very nice to work with and accommodated all of my custom requests. The installation is attractive and well balanced with regard to my existing inverter and other components. I got exactly what I was looking for. And it was affordable.

Big Sky Renewables is the best solar installation company in the Bozeman area. Cody's professionalism and calm energy are contagious. He's reliable, methodical, and his background in structural trades has been a HUGE asset on residential and and commercial projects we have. If you're looking for a reliable contractor or solar in Gallatin Valley County, give Big Sky Renewables a call!

I wasn’t to give a special thanks to the Big Sky Renewables team for such a great job with my new solar system. They went above and beyond from start to finish, and did it all in a timely fashion. Thanks again from Debra and I.

Ordered by how much we can tell you about each, which is not an order of quality. We do not know which of these is better and would not say if we did.

What we don't know

  • The date above is the newest review we hold, which is not necessarily the newest that exists — we hold a large share of Google's reviews, not all of them.
  • We found nothing on a website for this company that states a warranty, a licence or how long it has traded.
  • Google publishes no street address for this company, so we cannot say which town it is based in. Laurel is the area its listing was returned for, not an address we hold.
  • We do not verify licences, insurance or bonding. Nothing here has been checked against a state licensing board.
  • We cannot tell you what an installation costs, and we hold nothing about the equipment they fit.
