Its one and two star share is 6 points above the typical installer in Montana. Across Montana, 4 of the 36 installers whose breakdown Google has published carry a higher share than this one.

The percentages are Google’s own arithmetic over every review it holds, not a sample we assembled. Separately we hold 47 review texts for this company, quoted below. Google publishes review ages rather than dates, so every date here is approximate.

Not willing to do warranty work for warranty cost and rude about it as well. Steven has poor customer service and should maybe find someone else to do the customer service portion until he has his normal lady back. Paid them to fix an issue with my solar. The Issue came back within a month and he tried to tell me it would cost a bunch just to clear the same error code since tesla wouldn't do it over the phone. I called tesla and they easily did it over the phone. Then tesla asked if i wanted to make big sky solar my go to for warranty options. I told them sure and messaged steven that thinking

Watched one of your vans cruise through a residential neighborhood almost hitting a dog. Think about the community you’re working in before you hit someone’s kid or dog

Wow really. Don't do business with this company! He just cussed me out over the phone!

This is a few months overdue but my wife and I purchased a house in January and we’ve needed to hire a few tradesmen for a few different projects above our capabilities. We learned very quickly that Missoula is overflowing with unreliable, shoddy tradesmen but Big Sky Solar was by far the most upfront and dependable one we have worked with. They were quick, responsive and did fantastic work! I’ll be calling them every time I need their services!

We looked to Big Sky Solar to add to a 10 year old roof top solar array which was installed by a local company that no longer works in this area. Big Sky engineered the new addition to work seamlessly with the old array, added components to accommodate the increased capacity, and efficiently and quietly installed the new array in one day with no surprises or problems. The next day, after the array was completed, I requested a small adjustment to the finished product which was attended to quickly. The office staff was most helpful and all permitting and interfacing with the utility company was

What the company says about itself

Taken from its own website. We have not checked any of it, and a sentence on a website is not evidence.

Its website also mentions years in business, but not in a sentence we can quote cleanly.

    • It posts on Instagram and Facebook. A page that stopped posting years ago tells you something a listing will not.

    Who Google shows alongside them

Google’s own “people also viewed” set, in Google’s order. It is Google’s comparison, not ours.

The ones without a link have no page here, either because Google does not categorise them as solar businesses or because we could not match the name to a listing with confidence.

    What we don't know

    • The date above is the newest review we hold, which is not necessarily the newest that exists — we hold a large share of Google's reviews, not all of them.
    • We do not verify licences, insurance or bonding. Nothing here has been checked against a state licensing board.
    • We cannot tell you what an installation costs, and we hold nothing about the equipment they fit.

Something wrong here? Tell us and a person will read it.
