Its one and two star share is level with the typical installer in the Colton area. Across California, 224 of the 1,529 installers whose breakdown Google has published carry a higher share than this one.

The percentages are Google’s own arithmetic over every review it holds, not a sample we assembled. Separately we hold 183 review texts for this company, quoted below. Google publishes review ages rather than dates, so every date here is approximate.

They took my insurance check and said they were going to to repair the roof, but they never showed up or did the work. They just took my money. I tried calling to schedule something out and they just never answer me or reply to my emails or text messages. they are scammers

Very bad company don't trust them. They don't answer phone call. Like they did my roof but they didn't send all the information to my insurance company and now I have problem with my insurance company and they just don't pick up any of my phone call. Don't do any business with them. DON'T TRUST THIS COMPANY.

They are great at getting your business and initially installing the panels, but customer service and follow up is terrible! Within the last six months my Edison bill has gone through the roof! The panels are producing minimal energy, way below what should be produced costing me thousands over the months. When I reported this to Clean Initiatives, after several calls, I finally got a return text requesting my last 3 months Edison bill. They said they’d get back to me, but I haven’t heard back from them in over a month. I’ve been calling, texting and emailing since, but no response! I even visi

Clean Initiate Solar installed the solar system at my house. I have an issue where the house battery doesn’t power the house when the grid power goes down, even though the house battery is charged. The first time I called in, someone answered, and they responded with “we’ll check some diagnostics and call you back in 10 minutes.” They never called, and that was about 3 months ago. I’ve called them and left messages, and emailed, a total of about 20-30 times. They have not answered or respond since the first "we'll get back to you." I will be filing this review in as many forums I can, and with

I had an excellent experience with Clean Initiative. Mei was very professional and explain the positive impact to the environment of the project and the benefits for the customer. I’m excited to take this saving opportunity.

This is the best customer service we have every got from a solar company. We had a meeting with Sam and he explained everything from energy creation to different solar panels. Unfortunately we chose not to switch as we would be selling this house but we will definitely call him again when we move into our new home!!

Topics Google derives from the review text, with how often each appears. A frequent topic is not a good one: “price” turns up in praise and in complaints alike.

Elsewhere

  • It is also reviewed on the Better Business Bureau and Yelp. Worth reading before you sign anything: those are a different crowd, and the complaints that reach the Better Business Bureau rarely reach Google.

The ones without a link have no page here, either because Google does not categorise them as solar businesses or because we could not match the name to a listing with confidence.

What we don't know

  • The date above is the newest review we hold, which is not necessarily the newest that exists — we hold a large share of Google's reviews, not all of them.
  • We found nothing on a website for this company that states a warranty, a licence or how long it has traded.
  • We do not verify licences, insurance or bonding. Nothing here has been checked against a state licensing board.
  • We cannot tell you what an installation costs, and we hold nothing about the equipment they fit.
