DIY Solar Planning

Each mark is one company we hold in Yuba City whose Google breakdown has been read, placed by its share of one and two star reviews. DIY Solar Planning is the red one. The amber line is the middle of that set, which includes suppliers and maintenance businesses as well as installers.

Rodney with DIY Solar was excellent to deal with. I'm a pool and landscape contractor doing my own solar and they made it seamless for me. We pull permits out of El Dorado County and the team there were very impressed at the documents. ZERO corrections and my plans were accepted first run. Thanks Rodney!

If you are looking for a resource to help with a DIY solar array install, you've come to the right place. Rodney is knowledgeable, thorough and completes each step of the process when he says he will. I was a little skeptical when he said he would be there as a resource for me even after I purchased the plans. I've had to call him two or three times to clarify a few small items and he answered the phone every time and was happy to help. The only reason this is five stars is because there's no ability to leave more than that, but I wish I could.

Topics Google derives from the review text, with how often each appears. A frequent topic is not a good one: “price” turns up in praise and in complaints alike.

Taken from its own website. We have not checked any of it, and a sentence on a website is not evidence.

Its website also mentions warranty, 24/7 availability, family owned and licensed, but not in a sentence we can quote cleanly.

• It is also reviewed on the Better Business Bureau. Worth reading before you sign anything: those are a different crowd, and the complaints that reach the Better Business Bureau rarely reach Google.
• It posts on Facebook and X. A page that stopped posting years ago tells you something a listing will not.

Google’s own “people also viewed” set, in Google’s order. It is Google’s comparison, not ours.

The ones without a link have no page here, either because Google does not categorise them as solar businesses or because we could not match the name to a listing with confidence.

Ordered by how much we can tell you about each, which is not an order of quality. We do not know which of these is better and would not say if we did.

• —The date above is the newest review we hold, which is not necessarily the newest that exists — we hold a large share of Google's reviews, not all of them.
• —We do not verify licences, insurance or bonding. Nothing here has been checked against a state licensing board.
• —We cannot tell you what an installation costs, and we hold nothing about the equipment they fit.
