Its one and two star share is 9 points above the typical installer in California. Across California, 424 of the 1,529 installers whose breakdown Google has published carry a higher share than this one.

The percentages are Google’s own arithmetic over every review it holds, not a sample we assembled. Separately we hold 10 review texts for this company, quoted below. Google publishes review ages rather than dates, so every date here is approximate.

Scheduled a site review a week ago for a new solar and Tesla Powerwall system. For context, this is a 50+ acre property with multiple dwellings, and I was planning a very large installation. No one from Eclipse Solar showed up, so I called them. They apologized and said they “took a rain day.” Yes, it rained this week—but how does rain stop a basic site visit just to generate a quote, especially for ground-mounted panels? More importantly, no one contacted me to cancel or reschedule. They offered to come later in the afternoon, but at that point I’d already lost confidence. If a company can’t

Eclipse Solar & Construction has been absolutely outstanding from beginning to end. My project had a long and very difficult history before Eclipse got involved, and they stepped in with professionalism, patience, honesty, and follow-through when I truly needed it most. Alex, Andrew, and the Eclipse team helped complete, permit, and bring my solar system fully online after a complicated and frustrating process that had been dragging on far too long. Throughout everything, they were responsive, respectful, understanding, and incredibly patient. They always treated me with kindness and professio

Eclipse Solar & Construction made our solar installation experience incredibly smooth and stress-free. Their team was extremely communicative throughout the entire process, always keeping us informed and answering our questions promptly. What impressed us most was how they simplified everything about solar energy and made it easy to understand. They took the time to guide us through each step, explaining our options clearly without any pressure or confusing jargon. The whole experience felt truly concierge-level – they handled all the details and made us feel like valued customers rather than

Professionalism speaks. Joseph, Diego, John, and the entire team exemplify professionalism and dedication to customer care. Their commitment should be highly valued by their manager. They traveled from San Jose to Brentwood on Friday evening to resolve my issue, which appears to have been caused by another company. Thank you very much guys, you are the best!!!

Topics Google derives from the review text, with how often each appears. A frequent topic is not a good one: “price” turns up in praise and in complaints alike.

Elsewhere

  • It is also reviewed on the Better Business Bureau and Yelp. Worth reading before you sign anything: those are a different crowd, and the complaints that reach the Better Business Bureau rarely reach Google.

The ones without a link have no page here, either because Google does not categorise them as solar businesses or because we could not match the name to a listing with confidence.

Ordered by how much we can tell you about each, which is not an order of quality. We do not know which of these is better and would not say if we did.

What we don't know

  • The date above is the newest review we hold, which is not necessarily the newest that exists — we hold a large share of Google's reviews, not all of them.
  • We found nothing on a website for this company that states a warranty, a licence or how long it has traded.
  • We do not verify licences, insurance or bonding. Nothing here has been checked against a state licensing board.
  • We cannot tell you what an installation costs, and we hold nothing about the equipment they fit.
