Its one and two star share is 26 points above the typical installer in California. Across California, 169 of the 1,529 installers whose breakdown Google has published carry a higher share than this one.
The percentages are Google’s own arithmetic over every review it holds, not a sample we assembled. Separately we hold 15 review texts for this company, quoted below. Google publishes review ages rather than dates, so every date here is approximate.

Something happened at this company: their reviews were very positive when we started working with them on a battery backup project over a year ago. Very similar to other recent reviews here, it has been an absolute disaster: awful communication, Enact and Bright pointing fingers and blaming each other, lies and inaccuracies, regular requests and invoices for additional funds, etc. So many examples of incompetent and unscrupulous activity (especially from the CEO). Cannot state it strongly enough: Stay away!!!

I contracted with Enact Solar in October 2025 for the design and installation of a residential solar storage system and paid three installments per the payment schedule. The installation was scheduled for December 29, 2025. No crew appeared, and no work was ever performed at my property. I later learned that Enact had failed to pay its installer, Bright Energy, for work completed on other projects. Bright Energy refused to perform my installation as a result. It was an internal dispute between the two companies that I had no part in and no ability to resolve. Enact did not notify me of the sit

My husband and I first met with Enact Systems in August 2025 to begin the process of solar system (panels, battery, EV charging outlet) installation at our home. Enact was recommended to us by QuitCarbon. We signed a contract with Enact and Bright Energy in September. Permitting was completed by early November. Bright Energy was to install the components of the system and Enact was to provide the software and monitoring. Enact handled all billing. By December 13, after one installation date fell through, we paid Enact in full based on the request of Joseph Nelson, CEO of Bright Energy Group, w

We've been using solar since 2017, just got battery backup installed and have been extremely happy with the Engage app. It is user friendly and does a great job of communicating the impact of solar and also the general awareness about energy consumption. Even got the telemetry readings into my home automation project for convenience!

Nice program to build solar proposal. The program can be a little intimidating in the beginning but it's only because it has a lot of features and it can do a lot. In the beginning, you're work closely with the technical rep that will show you the system's functions and abilities. My technical rep, Paige, is great. She is extremely helpful and always willing to talk, even odd hours. I would recommend the program to anyone in the solar industry.

The Enact Solar team is very responsive when it comes to my questions as well as system designs and re-designs.

Topics Google derives from the review text, with how often each appears. A frequent topic is not a good one: “price” turns up in praise and in complaints alike.

- It is also reviewed on Yelp. Worth reading before you sign anything: those are a different crowd, and the complaints that reach the Better Business Bureau rarely reach Google.
- It posts on Instagram, YouTube, LinkedIn, X and Facebook. A page that stopped posting years ago tells you something a listing will not.

The ones without a link have no page here, either because Google does not categorise them as solar businesses or because we could not match the name to a listing with confidence.

Ordered by how much we can tell you about each, which is not an order of quality. We do not know which of these is better and would not say if we did.
What we don't know
- The date above is the newest review we hold, which is not necessarily the newest that exists — we hold a large share of Google's reviews, not all of them.
- We do not verify licences, insurance or bonding. Nothing here has been checked against a state licensing board.
- We cannot tell you what an installation costs, and we hold nothing about the equipment they fit.
