Its one and two star share is level with the typical installer in Vermont. Across Vermont, 14 of the 28 installers whose breakdown Google has published carry a higher share than this one.

The percentages are Google’s own arithmetic over every review it holds, not a sample we assembled. Separately we hold 3 review texts for this company, quoted below. Google publishes review ages rather than dates, so every date here is approximate.

Every company we hold in Vermont, on one axis

0% rated 1–2★45%

Each mark is one company we hold in Vermont whose Google breakdown has been read, placed by its share of one and two star reviews. Green Heron Solar is the red one. The amber line is the middle of that set, which includes suppliers and maintenance businesses as well as installers.

What reviewers said

  • 5★ · around September 2026

Gary was a pleasure to work. He is expert knowledgeable on navigating all parts of the process of going solar in Vermont, and worked with us on getting a system that suited our needs. Gary is also very patient and willing to nerd out on all the details of the equipment if you really want to dig into how everything works. (Which I did :) ) Wouldn't hesitate working with him again. Thank you Gary!

Gary was quick to respond when I needed to find help with my solar inverter. Gary helped me think through all of the scenarios for how to get my system up and running again. Happy to work with him again!

Appreciate Gary's super service and commitment to system quality and value.

Ordered by how much we can tell you about each, which is not an order of quality. We do not know which of these is better and would not say if we did.

What we don't know

  • The date above is the newest review we hold, which is not necessarily the newest that exists — we hold a large share of Google's reviews, not all of them.
  • We found nothing on a website for this company that states a warranty, a licence or how long it has traded.
  • We do not verify licences, insurance or bonding. Nothing here has been checked against a state licensing board.
  • We cannot tell you what an installation costs, and we hold nothing about the equipment they fit.
