  May go solar, but won't use these guys. They charge $150 to come out and tell you what it may cost. After being transferred to "somebody tht has a better grasp on the numbers". It turned out to be the president of the company. I was completely dumbfounded by how rude he was. He kept interrupting me and told me that when he was finished I could talk. He informed me that not going solar was an "economic losers bet" He stated that it was the right thing to do environmentally and that anybody who cares about the environment would go solar regardless.   Terrible service after the sale. There are other companies in VT with labor warranties that cover a lot longer then what they provide. The owner is condescending and rude when trying to work with. Do yourself a favor and hire someone else!

  I am all for supporting local businesses but there is no need to be rude, condescending, and price gouge. We were initially happy with the installation in 2016. Fast forward 7 years and one of the optimizers in one of our panels went. We contacted Same Sun and were advised our warranty was expired but they would be happy to send 2 technicians out to the tune of $290 for 2 hours of work. My husband opted to change the optimizer out himself which sent Phil into a tizzy but he was willing to ship the free part to us (we offered to pick it up). After my husband installed it (in 30mins if that) the

  Same Sun of Vermont is terrific. Starting in late 2017 with my first array, they have been my provider of all things solar. As our electrical needs have grown, primarily switching from propane to electric heat pumps (mini-splits) and most recently to two electric vehicles, our electrical consumption has grown, and Same Sun has been right there with us to expand our generation as our needs have grown to now three arrays, two of which are roof-mounted and the most recent ground-mounted.
