Its one and two star share is level with the typical installer in Pomona. Across California, 788 of the 1,529 installers whose breakdown Google has published carry a higher share than this one.

The percentages are Google’s own arithmetic over every review it holds, not a sample we assembled. Separately we hold 62 review texts for this company, quoted below. Google publishes review ages rather than dates, so every date here is approximate.

Every company we hold in Pomona, on one axis

0% rated 1–2★25%

Each mark is one company we hold in Pomona whose Google breakdown has been read, placed by its share of one and two star reviews. HPM Solar is the red one. The amber line is the middle of that set, which includes suppliers and maintenance businesses as well as installers.

The HPM team were such a joy to work with on my battery project. They were communicative, friendly, helpful, and dependable. The job was done well, and they went the extra mile in reviewing my annual solar bill after the job was already done, helping me understand some concerns I had with Edisons billing. They know their stuff and are happy to explain things in full detail!

We had a great experience with HPM Solar from start to finish. The entire process was smooth, well-organized, and hassle-free. Joshua was our main point of contact and was extremely responsive throughout the project. He was always available to answer questions, provide updates, and make sure everything stayed on track. From the initial consultation and installation to final activation of the system, the team was professional, efficient, and easy to work with. The installation was completed as promised, and the transition to a fully operational solar system was seamless.

When you see over 100 reviews and all of them 5 stars, you have to first make sure you don’t need a new prescription. My experience matches many of the others who have reviewed. HPM from the beginning treats customers like they are not a number. I asked for quotes from Tesla, SunRun, and a few other local installers. None of them took the time to explain the process, dispel the noise and tricks others play, and focus on making sure all of your questions are answered. When Edeer came to the house for the first time, he said I can be here an hour or all day. It is up to how in depth you want to

What the company says about itself

Taken from its own website. We have not checked any of it, and a sentence on a website is not evidence.

  • Family owned

“produces raving fans. HPM Solar is a family-owned and operated Solar and Energy…”

Its website also mentions financing, but not in a sentence we can quote cleanly.

Elsewhere

  • It is also reviewed on Yelp and ConsumerAffairs. Worth reading before you sign anything: those are a different crowd, and the complaints that reach the Better Business Bureau rarely reach Google.
  • It posts on Facebook and Instagram. A page that stopped posting years ago tells you something a listing will not.

Ordered by how much we can tell you about each, which is not an order of quality. We do not know which of these is better and would not say if we did.

What we don't know

  • The date above is the newest review we hold, which is not necessarily the newest that exists — we hold a large share of Google's reviews, not all of them.
  • Google publishes no street address for this company, so we cannot say which town it is based in. Pomona is the area its listing was returned for, not an address we hold.
  • We do not verify licences, insurance or bonding. Nothing here has been checked against a state licensing board.
  • We cannot tell you what an installation costs, and we hold nothing about the equipment they fit.
