Its one and two star share is 5 points above the typical installer in Escondido. Across California, 441 of the 1,529 installers whose breakdown Google has published carry a higher share than this one.

The percentages are Google’s own arithmetic over every review it holds, not a sample we assembled. Separately we hold 62 review texts for this company, quoted below. Google publishes review ages rather than dates, so every date here is approximate.

Every company we hold in Escondido, on one axis

0% rated 1–2★45%

Each mark is one company we hold in Escondido whose Google breakdown has been read, placed by its share of one and two star reviews. IGNITE POWER LLC is the red one. The amber line is the middle of that set, which includes suppliers and maintenance businesses as well as installers.

What reviewers said

I strongly advise against using this solar company. The installation was sloppy, with panels misaligned and wiring left exposed. Within weeks, the system stopped producing the promised energy output. When I contacted customer service, they were dismissive and slow to respond, offering no real solutions. What was supposed to be a smart investment turned into a headache. If you value quality and accountability, look elsewhere.

Promised me one set of panels, gave me a cheaper kind. Refused to fix them even when I showed them the contract as proof. My lawyer said the way they write their contracts we couldn’t do anything. They didn’t connect the panels to my roof well at all.

BEWARE. They will pretend to be contracted by the power company to do you a favor by checking and “upgrading” your meter when in reality it is to gain access to your property and power bill for a sales pitch for solar. Now on my blacklist of companies.

The company itself is great! The salesman (Matt) has been awesome. Dealing with the company has been great. The roof tear-off crew was really good. The crew that actually ins tr talked the solar panels were great too. The only issue we had was with the guys who did the reroofing. They took several days and even had to be told to come back because they hadn't finished. It seemed we were an afterthought to them. They never showed up earlier than about 2 p.m. and one day, it was around 5 p.m.

I am very excited to know that we've taken a big step this morning towards being up and running with Ignite solar. They've been very personable and professional. They've gotten us through hurdles and had extreme patience with my endless questions! Austin Alvis has answered every single question and many repeatedly! He is very considerate and easy to work with. I have no doubts that he and Ignite are an asset to us!

Informative and really convenience me to get off SDG&E grid and install 9 more Solar panels. My panels was installed early. I need to know when will they be inspected for approval and activations. Kyle did a great job! Regards, Anthony Shelly Jr.

What the company says about itself

Taken from its own website. We have not checked any of it, and a sentence on a website is not evidence.

  • Insured

“warranty. Not only are our panels insured–your roof is too as soon as…”

Its website also mentions warranty and licensed, but not in a sentence we can quote cleanly.

Who Google shows alongside them

Google’s own “people also viewed” set, in Google’s order. It is Google’s comparison, not ours.

The ones without a link have no page here, either because Google does not categorise them as solar businesses or because we could not match the name to a listing with confidence.

What we don't know

  • The date above is the newest review we hold, which is not necessarily the newest that exists — we hold a large share of Google's reviews, not all of them.
  • We do not verify licences, insurance or bonding. Nothing here has been checked against a state licensing board.
  • We cannot tell you what an installation costs, and we hold nothing about the equipment they fit.
