Its one and two star share is 31 points above the typical installer in New York. Across New York, 16 of the 247 installers whose breakdown Google has published carry a higher share than this one.

The percentages are Google’s own arithmetic over every review it holds, not a sample we assembled. Separately we hold 3 review texts for this company, quoted below. Google publishes review ages rather than dates, so every date here is approximate.

We recently had solar panels installed on our home by Kamtech Solar, and I couldn’t be happier with the whole experience. From the beginning, Benjamin, our representative, was incredibly helpful and professional. He took the time to answer all our questions and made the entire process smooth and stress-free. Before choosing Kamtech, we did a lot of research and compared several companies. Kamtech offered the best combination of price, quality, and professionalism. The installation was completed on schedule, everything looks great, and the system is working perfectly. Highly recommend Kamtech S

Kamtech Solar did an amazing job installing solar panels on my roof. From the first meeting, Ronnie was extremely knowledgeable and made the whole process easy to understand. He was always available to answer my questions and kept me updated every step of the way. I had looked into a few other companies before making a decision, and Kamtech stood out for offering the best balance of quality work, good pricing, and professionalism. The installation team was on time, respectful, and got everything done faster than I expected. I’m very happy I chose Kamtech and highly recommend them to anyone thi

Topics Google derives from the review text, with how often each appears. A frequent topic is not a good one: “price” turns up in praise and in complaints alike.

What the company says about itself

Taken from its own website. We have not checked any of it, and a sentence on a website is not evidence.

  • Financing

“along with the best pricing and financing options for every household. Unrivaled…”

Its website also mentions warranty and free estimate, but not in a sentence we can quote cleanly.

Elsewhere

  • It is also reviewed on Yelp and the Better Business Bureau. Worth reading before you sign anything: those are a different crowd, and the complaints that reach the Better Business Bureau rarely reach Google.
  • It posts on LinkedIn, Instagram and Facebook. A page that stopped posting years ago tells you something a listing will not.

Who Google shows alongside them

Google’s own “people also viewed” set, in Google’s order. It is Google’s comparison, not ours.

The ones without a link have no page here, either because Google does not categorise them as solar businesses or because we could not match the name to a listing with confidence.

What we don't know

  • The date above is the newest review we hold, which is not necessarily the newest that exists — we hold a large share of Google's reviews, not all of them.
  • We do not verify licences, insurance or bonding. Nothing here has been checked against a state licensing board.
  • We cannot tell you what an installation costs, and we hold nothing about the equipment they fit.
