Its one and two star share is 2 points below the typical installer in Texas. Across Texas, 399 of the 728 installers whose breakdown Google has published carry a higher share than this one.

The percentages are Google’s own arithmetic over every review it holds, not a sample we assembled. Separately we hold 3 review texts for this company, quoted below. Google publishes review ages rather than dates, so every date here is approximate.

Work in progress….after having some Communication issues, LS addressed my concerns and left no doubt that my solar project is in good hands. They provide a no frills, no BS estimate and will be extremely transparent in your costs and eventual gains by choosing solar. They will also disclose the hefty built in fees if you decide to finance your project. If you are going Solar in San Antonio, you owe it to yourself to consider LS. They are by far, the standard in Central TX solar!! Update: Solar completely installed mid-June. The system is performing great and once we got the ground mount issues

This is an email that I sent to the project manager. I’m very happy with Lighthouse Solar. I meant to send you an email a couple of weeks ago when the crew worked on the wiring and the breaker box. I just wanted to tell you that all the people who came out to the house were very professional and did an excellent job! I want to commend all of them on a job well done. Last Thursday you had 3 individuals come out to install the solar panels on the roof. They also were very professional and did an excellent job at installing the panels. Everyone from Lighthouse Solar has done an excellent job and

Topics Google derives from the review text, with how often each appears. A frequent topic is not a good one: “price” turns up in praise and in complaints alike.

What the company says about itself

Taken from its own website. We have not checked any of it, and a sentence on a website is not evidence.

  • Warranty

“increasingly researching: Long-term warranty support Financial stability of…”

  • Years in business

“full service Service Department with over 20 years of experience. We work on all solar…”

Its website also mentions financing, free estimate, established and licensed, but not in a sentence we can quote cleanly.

Elsewhere

  • It is also reviewed on ConsumerAffairs, the Better Business Bureau and Yelp. Worth reading before you sign anything: those are a different crowd, and the complaints that reach the Better Business Bureau rarely reach Google.
  • It posts on LinkedIn, Instagram and Facebook. A page that stopped posting years ago tells you something a listing will not.

Who Google shows alongside them

Google’s own “people also viewed” set, in Google’s order. It is Google’s comparison, not ours.

The ones without a link have no page here, either because Google does not categorise them as solar businesses or because we could not match the name to a listing with confidence.

Ordered by how much we can tell you about each, which is not an order of quality. We do not know which of these is better and would not say if we did.

What we don't know

  • The date above is the newest review we hold, which is not necessarily the newest that exists — we hold a large share of Google's reviews, not all of them.
  • We do not verify licences, insurance or bonding. Nothing here has been checked against a state licensing board.
  • We cannot tell you what an installation costs, and we hold nothing about the equipment they fit.
